If you are traveling south on I-81/west I-80 to get to Knoebel's, expect significant delays on I-80 immediately after exiting I-81 onto I-80 due to single lane contruction.

As an alternative route with an interesting diversion, take the Frackville exit off of I-81 (Route 61) to 54 to get to Elysburg. While en route, stop at Centralia (what's left of it) site of the infamous underground mine fire that wiped out the entire town. Look for the closed section of Route 61 and travel up the closed road to see something the likes of which you have never witnessed before ( look for the smoke seeping out of the ground.)
