I was wondering, do any of you get on-ride photos while at amusement parks? If so, which ones, and which parks do you think have some of the best on-ride photos?

Currently, I have these park on-ride photos. I will write either excellent (best), decent, okey, or terrible (worst).

Bamboo Chutes Story Land Excellent Bamboo Edges on Photo (Very Nice Touch) and it was very nice quality.

Excalibur Funtown U.S.A. Excellent It had detailed sides with rides at Funtown, and the photo is nice quality.

Thunder Falls Log Flume Funtown U.S.A. Decent Picture is nice quality, but border is only average.

Boulder Dash Lake Compounce Excellent Nice passage with stats on side, and decent quality of picture.

Desperado Plunge The Great Escape Terrible The picture was very dusty (western like) and the border was very dull.

Alpine Bobsled The Great Escape Decent The border was nice and snow themed, and the picture was fairly nice.

The Comet The Great Escape Okey The border was just average, and the picture wasn't the best quality.

Double Splash Flume Dutch Wonderland Decent The ride photo was somewhat dark, but the border was festive with Duke the Dragon.

Steel Force Dorney Park Excellent It had a wonderful case it was in, and the picture was excellent quality.

Hydra; the Revenge Dorney Park Excellent It had a wonderful case, emblem, and 2 excellent quality photos.

Splash Mountain Magic Kingdom Excellent Splash Mountain has an excellent, detailed photo, and a wonderful border.

Rock "N" Roller Coaster MGM Studios Excellent The ride's photo is very nice quality, and the rock-n-roll themed sides also look nice.

Test Track EPCOT Excellent The ride's photo looks very bright and detailed, and the border is nice too.

The only on-ride that I have is from Storm Runner from 2004 because that was the single greatest coasters experience of my life and was the best day that I have ever had at a park. Usually I won't waste my money on it. We were going to get a Kingda Ka one, but my girlfriend chickened out

I don't always get them, only if I really enjoyed a ride, or if my family rode it too and all enjoyed it.

ToT and RRC(WDW). good qality picks and they had a deal if you got both.

Superman Quality is ok but New BAck ground is teralbe. Price is high. I only bought it since it was teh persons first time on the coaster.

on ride photos are very pricey. quite a scam IMO. however, if i look f^&$^ed up and contorted or stupid enough in the picture i'll be tempted to buy it.

I bought on-ride photos from the following coasters:

Great Bear - Hersheypark

Wild Mouse - Hersheypark

Storm Runner - Hersheypark

Steel Force - Dorney Park

Talon: Grip of Fear - Dorney Park

Hydra: the Revenge - Dorney Park

Twister - Knoebels

Kumba - Busch Gardens Tampa

SheiKra - Busch Gardens Tampa

Millennium Force - Cedar Point

Mantis - Cedar Point

I'll only buy on-ride photos from rides that're worth getting after ride photos of and/or if I'm riding w/my family or so'em. They're very expensive though, so I try not to spend a lot of money on on-ride photos.

It depends on were you go. Story land charges like 6.00 and you get a 5x7 with a great matting. that same thing at SFNE woudl be 12 at disney 15.

I've found that Story Land has the cheapest on-ride photos of anywhere I have ever been. Story Land's photos are of excellent quality, and have very nice borders.

Are the only on-ride photos you can still get at Santa's Village are Santa's Skyway Sleigh and with Santa Claus?

Rarely do I purchase, but I do have timbers, and dominator. I actually have more of the pictures from when you first enter the park.

My sister gets a little out of control and buys practically every on-ride photo. Therefore from traveling with her I have Millennium Force, Thunderhead and Magnum. I love the photos on Magnum because they is so much freedom and you can reach into the car in front of you and mess with those people if they are with you. We actual rode Magnum about 20 extra time in May just to get the perfect photo.

Also have a Nitro photo, again I didn't buy it. It was bought by the people I was with that day.

Yess those are the only two rides at this time. Thing is the Flume is the only other ride worth havign a photo for and thats allot of Wireing to gt it back to an area you can build a Photo booth. also it can't make money inthe winter.

another thing is Both onrides at the park use regulare SLR cameras and nt a fancy photo system.

Funtown's on-ride photos have always had a lot of detail, and they're pretty cheap. Also, did Canobie add their flume's on-ride photo this year? This was the first year I have noticed it.

Yes they did but it's run by the guy that handles the roving photos and the old time photots. he took over the old bucket toss game acros from the flume entrance. stupid move since there is more then enough room in the station.

anyways the Photos are good quality but way over priced. it's like $12.00 for a 3X5 an extream rip off. Canobie needs to start keeping more controll over the contracters if they are going to continue to outsource parts of the park.

I know what you mean about Funtown's photos being overpriced. Last time I visited Funtown, I was shocked by the price of the Ol' Time Photo. It was $20! I don't think any photo is worth that price.

They were. I went on Funtown's final operating week of 2005. Most stalls or shops were shut down, so maybe that's why the price was so high.

Any ways Prices at many parks for things like that are way to high. they only cost about .40 cents to make so it's nearly all profit.

One thing that may cause such a high price is the fact that you were "old-time" clothing provided by Funtown. My sister bought one of those photos with some of the money I won in Funtown's Cash Cube.

well then the Park paid for some of the photo! anyways, The parks have been doing this for a while. I know Canobie has had their's for more then 20 years. they have had t as long as I have been going there. I would suspect that even futown would have had these for a while as well. so any extra costs are prity much out of the way. It's alll upkeep.

IMO,the on-ride photos that I like, are on Kennywood's Turnpike, and Kennywood's Log Jammer. The prices for the on-ride photos, are fairly reasonable,as well. The picture quality is overall good, for both rides.

I rarely get them because I honestly find them a waste. I think the last one I got was of Millenium Force because of how siked I was to ride it when it opened.
