Hey there folks! If you have any photos on your computer that you took of your favorite ride, or from your latest trip, why not upload them to the site? I went through tonight and added some myself. Mainly, I went through and added to rides that didn't have any photos. Parks and rides I added some to:

Thanks for posting this, Taco - it's always good to have visuals for the people checking out the rides. I definitely encourage folks to add their pics. I've added a few myself - it's kind of fun.

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I have always said I will do it eventually, but never did. Well, I finally did it!
I was actually really surprised at Six Flags Great America - only like, two rides had photos and there was only one or two up for each. I was expecting it to be more like Cedar Point or something where they all have photos.

This is a great idea! I have a few pics, but I believe that they are too large to upload. My wife and I took them at high resolution on a 4MP digital camera. I believe that the site's maximum file upload size is 150k. Is this correct? I can try to compress my files, but I don't think that they will ever make it down to 150k.

People go to the rides' page and view them above the reviews and below the ride's stat's and such.

I will aventualy do this. Right now my computer is in starage and so are all my pics. I need to can in allot of the ones I woudl put on this site also. that's time I don't really have.

Sorta. We have to approve them, first, then they will show up on the ride pages. The park's page will actually show the ride as having media, but they won't actually show up until they are approved.
However, there seems to be a bug, because all 300+ of the photos that I uploaded have disappeared  That took weeks and weeks to do and it's all gone
Oh, and as for the main object of this thread, I have contributed photos to the following parks:
Six Flags Over Georgia
Myrtle Beach Pavillion
Dollywood
Busch Gardens Willimsburg
Paramount's Carowinds
Paramount's Kings Dominion
Island of Adventure
Universal Studios Florida
Six Flags Great Adventure
Dorney Park
Hersheypark
Knoebels
Conneaut Lake
Martin's Fantasy Island
(more to come)
... and the number of rides is probably around 100 so I won't list them all.
I try to photograph as many rides as possible on a .5 GB card, I think it would be nice if each and every ride on the site had at least one photo. I also try to really specialize in the rarely photographed rides, or the new rides, such as flat rides, the Silver Comet, or Tomb Raider for example.

No, we have to approve them first. Right now I am limited in the time that I get online, so it may not be too quick if no one else is around either.
OK, listen up please. Hopefully everyone sees this, especially since the person who this is really directed towards (at least in this case) rarely leaves the FON (cough bunkleg cough). The photos need to be yours (it says so on the upload form), and they need to be of quality. Blurry or lo-res (and I mean really low res) photos don't cut it, so don't get ticked if your photo (or, for instance, Carl Ragan of UltimateCoaster's photo) isn't automatically approved.
Thanks for listening, and its great to get all of these new submissions. However, it seems that a lot of them have disappeared or something, and hopefully it will be adressed by the man in charge.
