I just thought of a new kind of coaster that might be able to be done but I'm not sure. B&M could build an 8 inversion coaster that had three trains. One train was a sit down, one a stand up, and one a floorless. Now I know it would be tough but does anyone think it is possible?

honestly, i dont know about the inversion part, but that would be awesome if they had different style of trains running on the same track. I think that there is no reason why this wouldnt be possible. it might not be feesable, but it would be interesting. I dont know how you would theme that though...

Anything is possible. I think the hardest part would be configuring the loading platform (or station), because not everyone will want to ride in one type of train. It's kind of complicated to understand, but oh well.

As a matter of fact, there is a coaster in Asia that uses both stand up and sit down trains on the same track. Not sure which country or park it's located in, but it's made by TOGO.

Red said what I was thinking about the station loading issue. You would have to have three different sections of the station designated to the specific train certain people want to ride. It definately could be done, but I'd think at the most it would have 7 inversions(Medusa and Scream!)

It would be cool but very unlikely to happen for reasons mentioned above. And why 8 inversions?

Anyway, it could be called that dog with the three heads in Greek mythology. If anyone can remember that name it would be great (I'm not dumb, I have just been working since 5AM and can't think)

Chances are it won't happen though. That is one of the more interesting, not possible things that I have heard though. Normally I hate "what if..." things, but I like you today for some reason

Standing and Loop Coaster

What an original name, eh?

Hey Herc, the dog that protected the gates to Hades was named Cerberus. Strangely enough, I have a coaster on RCT2 that is a 3 way dueling coaster. One track is stand-up, one sit-down, and one floorless, and I named it; you guessed it Cerberus. No lie. Great minds think alike!

Yeh, I have been to a few parks in Asia, and they tend to be very boring with names. For instance, at Everland in Korea they have a suspended coaster named: Suspended Coaster. Yawn.

Actually that suspended coaster is called Eagle Fortress. Looks like a good ride.

RCDB has it listed as Eagle Fortress, but trust me, the sign over the ride and it is listed on the map only as "Suspended Coaster". So I'm not sure where they got that name from. It isn't listed by the park anywhere.

It wouel be posible to build one of each on the same site if you had enough space.

You wouldn't realy be able to duel then without allot of extra track on the Stand up . you would have to compansate track for weaight and speed of the train. it wodl take a long time to design.

Ah well, who care's what the name is. As long as the ride is good, or anywhere near being good.

^ Yeah bro. I'm not attacking you. Just trying to spread info. BTW, it is a pretty good ride, it rides down the side of the mountain and has NO brakes whatsoever. It gets cruising. It is very exciting, but kind of ugly and isn't taken care of well (which adds to the scare factor).

I had some photos of it in my collection, but can't seem to find them.

That is a cool idea, but wouldnt the track have to be different for each train that ran on it because a standup track is different from just a traditional sit-down coasters track, at least i think they are different.

All B&Ms use the same style of track, supposing something like this were to be built by only one manufacturer. If you look at the link that tacoking provided and click on the pic of the ride's station, you could see how people could choose which style to ride. Only problem is, that ride features only two different trains, so having any more would be a bit more difficult to operate.

yap they do. they jsut chance the layout a bit to handle the trains that will be placed on them.

It's actually a good idea. since they didn't have to redesign and spend money ona deforent track system.
