This is a really good ride the 80 foot drop at the end is really good and you dont get that wet but i did swallow a gulp of water as i went down the drop. The dinosaurs look quite realistic especially the big t-rex at the end.Another thing i must mention is a box drops just above your head and barely misses you this was quiet funny as everybody screamed.

This was one of the rides I was most looking forward too. Universal is so great at making inanimate objects come to live. Unfortunately, I just couldnt look at the animatronic figures and see them as dinosaurs. Their movements just didnt seem lifelike and their "skins" just didnt look lifelike. I wanted to let my mind go and believe in the fake reality of this ride and be amazed, but I just couldnt. Now for the finale, the T-rex has great movements and a realistic looking skin. When it roars at you, there will definately be hairs standing up on the back of your neck. The drop is great, and I thought that I felt a very short spot of airtime which just never happens on boat rides. I hate making Universal rides sound disappointing, but they set the standards to high for themselves. Dont get me wrong, it is a must ride.

While I was very excited for this ride, I thought it disappointed a bit. The tour part is interesting enough, however there arent nearly enough dinosaurs, and the ones that are there play no role in the movies themselves. The ride is very slow, which can be leisurely, but gets boring after awhile. The finish is also slow, and again, not enough dinosaurs to be truly terrifying. The drop, however, is great, dropping right out of the t-rexs clutches. The splash is minimal on the riders, which is good if you were looking to take the tour more than getting wet [as I was]. The ride is a bit short, and lacks dinosaurs, but is still a very good ride.

So many people neglect going on this ride, but dont, its well worth a 45 minute wait at most. It starts off with an enjoyable, realistic dinosaur tour with great scenary. And then the story goes on that dinosaurs have escaped and you climb up through the building with the drop watching all the dinosaurs around you ruin the building. And then the T-Rex and a quick, sudden drop you dont expect into a nice, not soaked, cool off.

Each time I ride, I just feel disappointed. Yes, I am a big enough person to say that the dinos they are cool and the themeing of the ride is beautiful especially when you are still on coarse for the visit. However, once the action part of the ride starts, I just feel that the climax isnt developed enough. I just think the storyline is a little weak. The ride itself is pretty short and comes to an abrupt end. You do not get wet on this ride, which I think for a water ride is pretty cool. I really want to like it alot, but really I just think it is an OK ride.

Its a nice water ride. You really dont get to wet. I like the big t-rex at the end. Its a pretty big hill at the end for a water ride.

A very interesting classic of Islands of Adventure. Dont miss it or you will miss out the heart of your journey. The ride itself stays true to the hit movie Jurrasic Park. The drop is very steep ending with a big splash. There is also a splash on the side of the drop.

This ride will make you feel like you are actually in Jurassic Park. The detail is amazing. The drop is my personal favorite compared to any other boat ride. The ride will get you wet, but not soaked. I highly suggest this ride if you are visiting IOA.

This was a fun water ride. I enjoy listening & learning about dinosaurs since I used to be a big fan of dinosaurs back when I was little. The 89 ft. plunge was a blast too. It loses a few points b/c I didnt get as soaked on the ride as I thought I wouldve been. It didnt really bother me though b/c Im not really a big fan of riding water rides. It was definitely a different water ride experience to me.

A great water attraction with excellent themeing and Story. When you first get on the ride you may notice that the gate is already open,do to because it doesent reset in time. Also How great the dinosaurs are,and also how much themeing was put into it.It makes you feel like your visiting the real jurassic park. Also the 80 foot drop is really intense especially at night where you dont know when its gonna stop.I have never gotten soaked on this ride but ive gotten wet enough just to feel cooled off and not drenched.I noticed that the first time i rode this I had lots of fun and there was a surprise around every corner. But after a while you know whats gonna happen and the fun dies down a bit.You know whats coming up next and your just sitting waiting for that intense drop, but overall JP river adventure is a fun ride. Its a great idea to hit this ride and all the other rides in the back of the park first because In the morning everyone tends to hang out in Marvel and suess, while JP,lost continent, and toon lagoon seem to be empty.
