A Schwarzkopf portable double looper that found a home at Dorney in 1986. Formerly known as Colossus, it has a lot of track (almost 2300 feet) in an area scantly 75 yards by 35. What I like about this coaster are the headchopper effects, the lapbars (thats right no horse collars or seatbelts), the water filled "footers", the exit bridge over the brake run and the positve Gs. There is no air on this ride; its fast and furious and full of laterals.

On the down side, it takes a bit of steam to get the train started up the lift hill. When there is a wait in line this can add to the tedium. The queueing is serial meaning location in line determines seat location. To get the back seat which I think is better than the front, you have to be in the last pair of the group let through the turnstile. Given the length of the train the front seat does not deliver much of a drop. At a scant 89 feet the first car seems to creep a little too far down the drop as the back of the train clears the lift.

The layout is simply two helices sandwiching a double loop. The drop twist back along the lift hill into 2 quick loops. The counter clockwise helix then passes the train through the second loop and then between them before taking up a clockwise helix under the drop that abruptly brings the train to the brake run. It all goes fairly quickly. if your napping on the lift hill this will wake you up.

Not a criticism but a heads-up this ride is a little rough, it rides like wooden coaster so for little kids the height requirement is well advised.
