Review of Superman: Ultimate Flight @ Six Flags Great Adventure

This review happens to be my 100th review on TPC for anyone who cares Superman: Ultimate Flight was a great coaster, and one of my personal favorites at Great Adventure. Looking back upon it, I cant believe I spent 3 hours in line for this thing with one train operation and blistering heat approaching 100 degrees. Whats more, Six Flags conjoured up the brilliant idea to "relieve" our heat exhaustion by setting up a common garden water-sprinkler and absolutely soaking everybody in line as if we were a landscape arrangement that was wilting under the extreme heat. Needless to say this "solution" sufficiently pissed off a large majority of those waiting in line who were pelted with freezing-cold water. After about 45 minutes, luckily, the water sprinkler idea was canned, and everyone in line returned to complaining about the heat. Anyways, I refuse to allow the negligence of Six Flags get in the way of this review Back to the ride itself! Great coaster, as I mentioned before. This was my first B&M flyer and it was a fantastic experience. The fact that there is absolutely nothing beneath you as you climb the lift really helps get your blood pumping. The first drop was amazing, much better than what Vekoma Flying Dutchman models have to offer, probably due to the extremely comfortable seating on this ride. The Pretzel Loop, as pretty much every other review has stated, was the highlight of the ride. Absolute madness during the entire maneuver. The Gs pulled are simply incredible. The rest of the ride was good, but was lacking. It did, however, give everyone on the ride a chance to dry off from the water-sprinkler fiasco LOL

I cant believe it was 3 hours for just a flying coaster at Great Ad. Was it on a weekend? I cant believe they would line up for that with Nitro/Toro/Kingda Ka lurking.

It was a Tuesday...which was really frustrating as you could imagine. I was determined to ride it no matter what for the simple fact that I am a die-hard B&M fan and I hadnt had the chance to ride a B&M Flyer yet. I still got to ride El Toro 3 times, Nitro twice, and Kingda Krap once
