Review of Hot Shots Fire Brigade @ Santas Village

Hot Shots Fire Brigade was a very disappointing ride at Santas Village and shouldnt have been added. Located to the left side of the park near Rudys Rapid Transit Coaster, Hot Shots Fire Bridgade doesnt fit in with the Christmas theme. This ride doesnt look all that nice and looks like something you would find at a carnival. Generally, Hot Shots Fire Brigade is a walk-on due to its low popularity. When you get on the ride, you can choose to either ride on a rising and lowering plaform allowing you to use water guns to spray the targets, or you can ride in the small firetrucks supporting the platform. There are six trucks and platforms. It takes pretty long to load Hot Shots Fire Brigade. Once on, you get a horrendous 2 minute ride. All the guns do shoot and the platforms rise and fall, but the ride doesnt keep track of your score which is disappointing. You just shoot your water stream inside a little black hole. Overall, a unique ride concept that needs to get all the kinks out, like not keeping score. Also, Santas Village should have picked a ride that fit in with the Christmas theme. I recommend this ride to anyone who can look past your score not being kept. Children usually have a blast on this riding around in the firetrucks.

I think you missed the fact that the Santas Village firehouse is also in that are and and right to the left of the ride. While I agree its not the best ride and there are problems thats what you face with a prototype ride. Unfortunately Zamperla doesnt warranty the rides after 1 yeas and the Score stopped half way through the second. Ive talked to the head maintenance guy and they have tried to fix it but its done no good. So your largest complain about it being out of theme is true to the park but not to the area.

I personally would enjoy if the Firehouse play area next to the ride was rethemed to a snowy play area and Santas Red Hot Racers could be rethemed to a penguin slide to match the Christmas theme. Sometime in the future I do hope that Hot Shots Fire Brigade is replaced with a better, Christmas-themed attraction.

Ya havent been to the park in a while have you? That play area is not in the Polar theater area by the mothers rooms. and the small arcade. The back area of the Fire house Now has a Bob Space racer water shoot game. $1.00 dollar to play and prizes are fairly large. The front still holds 2 antique fire trucks. It is Santas Village so a fire station isnt a bad thing. You know go by a police station on the newly redone car ride. You can see Pics of it in my TR (

). Just because its Santas Village doesnt mean everything needs to be Arctic related.

A couple tears at lest. I know they were there opening day last year 2005. I only went during the winter in 2004 and they have that area closed so Im not sure about that year or before. The game is great. Best of all Ive seen one child play and win a prize.
