Review of Great American Scream Machine @ Six Flags Great Adventure

Oh boy was I wrong about this one. I thought that the Scream Machine wouldnt be too bad. It looked spread out in the photos, so I thought the trains wouldnt have too much trouble navigating the tracks. Again: Boy was I wrong. The one good thing about GASM is that it provided one of the funniest on-ride photos I have ever seen of myself. It was a look of pure agony and terror on my face, not the kind of "yea what a thrill" kind, but rather, the "ow ow ow is my head gonna snap off" kind. The first loop is nice, and the fresh lick of paint looks good too, but looks can only account for so much. The drop out of the brakes is where the fun begins (if you are allergic to sarcasm, go take a shower now). The batwing is horribly rough, but it still doesnt compare to the right-hand turn (where the camera is, so smile in agony) and the double corkscrews, which were photogenic themselves, from the queue. This coaster is a nice coaster to ride if you want to say "Ive been on a coaster thats 170 tall, goes 70mph and flips you upside-down 7 times". Other than that, I wouldnt wait too long for it.
