I have to change my rating from a 9. I dont know what I was thinking giving this a 9 in 2003. Superman: Ultimate Flight is a flying coaster made by good ol Bolliger & Mabillard (same makers of Medusa, Batman the Ride and Nitro for all the non coaster nuts.) At first I was very excited for my homepark to get a flyer, but now Im not at all into it anymore.
First of all the loading process is insanely long which holds everything up. Next the ride is short, probably only a minute and a half. The layout isnt very inspired and the coaster itself is quite boring I think. Ill admit that the forces in the Pretzel Loop are pretty good though. Im really just not a fan of this one at all and I routinely pass it up for the adjacent Scream Machine. Of course, the aspect of flying itself may wow most people, I just dont think its all that great if the coaster layout isnt very good.
