Review of Cliffhanger @ Ghost Town In The Sky

A beautiful backdrop of gorgeous mountains along with having a trac that was built along the side of a mountain are highlights of this ride. You start the ride from a station located the top of the lift hill , once the brakes are released you drop freely down a very nice hill and into a sweet-vintage compressed loop. The unusual feeling of starting from a complete stop at the top of the hill is thrilling. After the loop the ride is basically over and you curve around some very uneventful boring turns until you are at the lift hill which is at the end of the ride and takes you back up to the top of the hill where the ride starts. This ride (when I was at the park) was not maintained very well at all, several of the restraints were not working and were roped off so that you could not sit in many of the seats. The restraint that was in my seat was not working properly. Many other of the parks rides were not in proper working order such as the overly warn out wheels on the otherwise nice uncrowded bumper cars. Not all of the rides were open. The Red Devil has been rumored to often be down.Proper maintinance seems to be a real issue at Ghost Town in the Sky, and GTITS has had several serious problems - incidents with its chair lift.
The Gun Fight show was outstanding , it once had Burt Reynolds as a cast member.

Id like to start by saying welcome to the site. I was wonderign what why the rating was it the setup or the maintanince or was it somthign not mentined. I know this is a Hopkins coaster one of only 4 they mad before switching tohe company to only water rides. I would like to get to the park. but wondering why the 4? more info would be nice.

Yes, I agree. I think that this coaster deserves more than a 4. It looks fantastic. It is unique, I cant wait to ride it, in 2007!
