Review of Splash Mountain @ Magic Kingdom

I love this ride, and for a person who hates log flumes, that says something! Disney have taken a potentially good concept, and blast through the roof with excellence! Its got everything! Thrills, animatronics, excellent scenery, amazing dips, humour, water, and most importantly that drop! WOW!!!!!

Great review. you are compleatly right aboutthe ride. keep up the good work and welcome to the site.
DemonRules on 2/26/2003 4:41:35 PM said:
why wont you people listen to reason??? SM is only good because of its theming....thats it. JP has a better drop, and better theming, so does dudley.....
tacoking on 2/26/2003 5:22:17 PM said:
SM has more to it than theming....and the theming for JP and ripsaw never will, never has, and never can beat SMs!!!!
mrceagle on 2/26/2003 10:37:02 PM said:
not to mention JP is shoot-the-chute not a log flum. its like comparing an Orange to a Tangeren.
DemonRules on 2/27/2003 8:28:08 AM said:
dont JP and SM basically use the same type of boat, four across by five deep? i guess i dont know their official name, but to me, they were the same type of boat ride
celt1983 on 2/27/2003 10:01:19 AM said:
Well actually SM is 2 across log boats. Splash Mountain sets out to achieve a good, entertaining family oriented ride with thrills aswell as theming, and anyone who has ridden this will agree! It has got everything you want in a ride! And for a 10 min ride it sure doesnt seem that long! Well worth queuing for, Its for EVERY member of the family! Nobody is going to dislike this ride! Its just too good!

ok, just wondering the difference between the two, but anyways.....i understand that its a good family ride, and when i get a family, ill probably take them on that ride too, but as for now, i want more thrills, so i prefer what IOA has.
tacoking on 2/27/2003 8:51:36 PM said:
so for now go to IoA, but i still prefer MK over IoA
DemonRules on 2/27/2003 8:56:57 PM said:

tacoking on 2/27/2003 8:59:19 PM said:

DemonRules on 2/27/2003 9:01:21 PM said:

Chip has a more natural look and a black nose. Dale is slighly goofy looking and has buck teeth. he also has a red nose.
DemonRules on 2/28/2003 9:56:29 AM said:
thanks mrceagle, but i meant i was just wondering the difference between the boats at SM and JP......lol, thanks for the info though
tacoking on 2/28/2003 3:51:03 PM said:

The splash mountain boats are built in house every suporting company was Hopkins. JP is an intamin chute ride. Basicly they ride deforent. the JP car isnt designed to get you wet. the SM oune is. thets why it hit such a shallow pool. if it hit normal depth of water it would get you verry wet.
DemonRules on 3/1/2003 4:33:03 PM said:
didnt know that, thanks
tacoking on 3/3/2003 7:01:42 PM said:
well you dont get that wet on it. which is ok, but not on hot florida days during the summer.
mrceagle on 3/4/2003 11:21:03 PM said:
Just stand on the wet vone were the cannons are. they built a over pass so you can let the water hit you now. pluse the water play area an Ariels and get a little wet there.
tacoking on 3/5/2003 4:22:06 PM said:
yea, but it dont help all that much, just for maybe 10min after u get wet
mrceagle on 3/5/2003 11:44:20 PM said:
I agre it sosnt work as muchas it would. they need to build more things in that will get you wet. at least around the park. the cool zones are a good theng. perhaps a shoot-the-chute on Tom soyers Island.
tacoking on 3/6/2003 3:45:20 PM said:
yea that eould be cool. tom sawyers island is pretty cool
Danny on 6/23/2003 9:16:07 AM said:
