Nice coaster with alot of history. They have done some work on this coaster over the last few years creating an even better ride. the turns are smooth yet offer resanable good lats and the coaster runs fast. Some of the best Air time to be found in NY.

ya its has one amazing history! the cyclone at crystal beach (considered by many to be the most extreme roller coaster ever built!! There was a nurse on duty who often tended to riders who fainted!!!)
was demolished and parts/scrap wood of it where used to make the comet at crystal beach when crystal beach closed, the comet was moved to the great escape where it is now!!!!

Acually it sat doment for many years before beign boubht by great Escape. thankfully they bought it.they also kept an oxygen tank at the exit because beaple would hypervantalate durign the ride. I would love to see the origanal design reused with some modern twicking to make it more safe.
