This ride is pretty neat because it is a scrambler ride, but it is a home made version of one. Its cars are smaller then a standard scrambler, but it has four arms with four cars on each arm, making up for the loss of rider capacity. It is run at a decent speed too.

The Merry Mixer is not "home made," but rather a commercial competitor to the ELI Scambler. For example, Trimpers Rides in Ocean City MD has one.

No, this one was indeed home made, while there are others out there of a similar design. This particular ride was built by the owners of Indian Trail Park in nearby Cherryville. They had traded the ride for a carousel sometime in the 1950s.

Interesting. So I guess they copied the ride name from the commercial manufactures model.
