Review of Déjà Vu @ Six Flags Over Georgia

I cant believe the amount of praise for this ride sitting next to so many other great coasters. Has B&M and Intamin not raised the tolerance level for coasters that feel like they are going to shake themselves apart?? For one, the ride is a maintenance nightmare. Two, it is the slowest moving line in coasterville. Three, it shakes and rattles so much it will be in Vekoma SLC territory in no time. Garbage ride by a garbage company. Deja Vu will be fun for many riders that dont mind being jarred to death on a ride, but others will just walk off with a headache.

Are you insane? deja vu is an incredible ride! there is no rush like the first drop and cobra roll, you must be crazy. you must be the biggest sissy if a little rattling kills the excitement of such a first class ride. sure, the maintenance sucks, but its for your safety you idiot! change this horrible review!!!!

I think maintenance, wait time and the line can definately make a huge difference on a review. When you hype a new attraction in a high volume park that has a lower than average capacity and a problem with testing and breakdowns you get this kind of reaction. This type of problem sure knocked down my review of Hypersonic XLC last year a couple of notches. A 2 plus hour wait with several breakdowns in the sun with no shade for a 15 or 20 second ride left me less than satisfied. I didnt feel like a guest, I felt like cattle. I think we should expect more from our parks.

DJBLADE, Its a friggin ride, get over it. I have ridden over 100 coasters in the States, and feel Deja Vu is just not very good. The maintenance issues are not due to safety problems, they are due to poor ride quality, period. Vekoma does not make a quality coaster. Deja Vu and countless others are more than enough proof.

Hang on there, Vekoma isnt all bad. I used to think they sucked too until I rode Batwing. Now I think theyre awesome

Well, lets just say they are not for me then. I do realize there are plenty of people that love Batwing. I have no problem with that...it is a pretty cool ride. The restraints gave me bruises under my arms though. I think B&Ms flyer is a lot better, even though flyers arent my cup of tea anyway. Vekoma has made a lot more poor rides than good ones. I have been beaten up pretty bad by some of them. Batwing is smoother than most of them.

Hes right. Vekoma has way too many bad rides to say they are a good company just because of one decent ride. I rode Batwing and loved it. However I rode X flight and thought it was decent. The loading times at SFWOA were horrible compared to those at SFA. That can definatly affect the way you look a certain ride.

Look, I know all about Vekomas rough (no pun intended) history. I know all about their old sucky coasters. I hate their SLCs. I hate the CP Corkscrew. All Im trying to say is, they finally got it right with the flying dutchman, and if they can do SOMETHING right then they cant be all bad.

How do we even know that the flying dutman is even that great?? If we can say the samething about it 4 years then maybe we can say the Vekoma did something right. What did everyone think about the SLCs when they first came out? I thought they were great. However after 3 or 4 years of running you know whats going to happen to it. Its going to get rough just like every other Vekoma Coaster. Whos to say that the same thing will not happen to the flying dutchman? Ive never been on Kumba the original Batman but they came out 10 years and they are still considered great rides. I think you will be able to say that about most of the B&M and Intamin rides. I woul not feel confortable saying that about a Vekoma coaster. Would You????

Whos to say it that it will happen? Being a recent invention of Vekoma, its very possible they have learned from before how to make their coasters smoother. I think theres a very good chance the flying dutchmen will stand the test of time. And btw, Vekoma has been around for a looooooong time. If they were such a bad company, they wouldnt still be around.
