Review of Cyclone @ Six Flags New England

This coaster is more like a cult movie... you either love it or you hate it. As for me, I love it (Or whats left of it). I get some kind of buzz off of getting my ass kicked at 55 MPH, and the sheer insanity of it all. Lots of people dislike this- and thats understandable..but I find it really addictive. This ride runs best usually from dusk/sunset to the night. A ride in the front seat with the sunset peaking through the mass of wood is an amazing sight. This coaster just does it for me. The best time I have ever had on the ride was when they let me stay in the front seat with like 5 other people on the train way behind me, we rode like 3 times in a row. I felt alone getting thrown all over the place. Its an awesome coaster, but thats just my opinion.

I agree with you on that last point. I brought it up a couple of weeks ago that if they are not going to take care of this ride they need to think about using the land in a contructive way. Maybe an original CCI would be good there. Something like The Villian or Roar would be good there.

Ive been on this ride 16 times, hoping to have a good or at least an ok ride. Do I ever, no. I am always shocked with how rough and horrible boring this ride is. I like Thunder Bolt more than this ride, isnt that sick?!

I just cracked down and rode cyclone for the 1st time this season and actually sat in the back. Youre right it not as rough as it was last year. Its alot more tamed. what did they do to it??

I think that the Milleniom flyer would be great for this coater. The PTCs gust cant handle the lay out. and adding trim bracks and changing the coaster is just wrong.

SF will never learn...watch, I bet by 2005 this coaster will be a part of Toon Town, the drop will be about 5 feet and it will be re named "Foghorns Wild Dip" I would not be surprised.
