correction, the drop is at an 66 degree angle. If you want to know what 80 degrees feels like ride SROS at SFNE.

The ride is 230 feet
but the
drop is 215 feet

Alfungus on 9/30/2001 5:26:30 PM said:
We waited for the front so it was about 45 mins, but if you dont care for the front maybe its 20-30 mins

COASTER RD your one of those people that defend their favorite coasters...i bet if I changed my review you would go crzy because it would lower its score....NITRO is the better coaster though because its a unique coaster unlike SROS which is other parks like SFDL
XtremeFan8 on 9/30/2001 9:10:24 PM said:
yes it is! i havent rode it-but sincce it is B&M it has 2 be GREAT!
XtremeFan8 on 9/30/2001 9:11:47 PM said:
and ACTUALLY the drop on SROS isnt 80- the only drop that is80is MF at CP!
Paul on 9/30/2001 10:10:47 PM said:
its 78 gegrees no big diff. and Tom Your starting to make me wonder if you rode SROS at SFNE...WHY?? welll you SHOULD know that the Superman at SFNE IS NOT the same as the ones at SFDL and SFA! It ISSSSS unique and Different. You seem to be in your own words one of THOSE people defending say...NITRO!
XtremeFan8 on 10/1/2001 7:38:32 PM said:
uh that is a big difference! to the coaster fans at least!
Alfungus on 10/2/2001 2:47:34 PM said:
When your rideing it im sure it feels the same
but mr is a good 100 feet taller.
XtremeFan8 on 10/2/2001 5:38:58 PM said:
ur sure it feels the same? how would u no? huh? u havent rode both?and until u do there is a difference. and dont u mean MF is a good 100ft taller. well if so- it isnt- its only uh.....96ft taller-which isnt 100!
Alfungus on 10/2/2001 8:06:08 PM said:
It was just giving a rough guess i didnt feel like looking the facts up. I was four feet off.

And i said that if going down a hill at 78 degrees, your not going to know the difference if its 80. But what gives MF an edge is that it is 96 or whatever feet taller
letting you experience the the drop longer.

Why dont you be a bit more kind to people before u start yelling at them. You will probably get better reactions that way.

You people are getting waaaaayyy to technical. Calm down rollercoaster nerds, take a deep breath and exhale. Better? O.K., and Tom how is Nitro and Medusa the best? Both are great coasters but in two different conversations, you pick two different rides?
XtremeFan8 on 10/3/2001 4:39:26 PM said:
ok roller coaster nerd- if u say 2+2= 5- its wrong but it is close- right? so lay off! im saying hes wrong but close!
Sephiroth7 on 10/4/2001 3:12:05 PM said:
You obviously still dont get the point....it is funny to see people nitpick each and every degree. I mean you keep going back and forth about stupid issues. The whole point is it doesnt matter if they are SLIGHTLY wrong. Wow thx for telling us Millenium Force is 96ft taller and not 100ft taller...big deal. I mean he did say its a "good" 100ft taller which also means that he is not being exact anyway. But even if he was trying to be exact 100 ft. and 96 ft. are extremely close anyway...so U LAY OFF, I am simply saying it is funny to see people correct such minor things just to show off how intelligent they are, but in the end theyre the ones who end up looking dumb. I mean if someone said Nitro was 400 ft. tall I can see how that examplifies being corrected...
NYCTom on 10/4/2001 4:45:23 PM said:
No they are very similar...the only difference that I observed is that SROS in SFNE has a tunnel during the drop...the cars and the layout are awfully similar...Nitro on the other hand can not be cloned because it is a coaster in its own league...Nitro is simply the better coaster when sis i mention medusa?that is the best coaster because it has a great drop and the loops are nonstop....Nitro I like because it has tons of g forces and a wicked drop...yeah it is a little sad how you people like pinpoint a simple mistake as MF being a 100 feet taller when it is 96...no one cares so dont bother debating over a silly thing
Sephiroth7 on 10/5/2001 11:35:09 PM said:
never mind about the medusa thing i read wrong...my bad.
Paul on 11/13/2001 3:01:50 PM said:
Tom.....SFNE SROS and the other 2 are NOTHING ALIKE!! NOTHING!
daptwa on 11/14/2001 10:21:20 AM said:
Since yall are being soooo technical MF is 102 feet tall than superman. The drop is only 79 feet longer though. Also NYCTom dont you ever put SROS at SFDL and SFA in the same sentence with the one at SFNE.They are NOTHING alike. It has a higher drop, more hills, NO STRAIGHT TRACK,imbanked turn, tunnels, longer trains and better theming.
Paul on 3/6/2002 2:32:45 PM said:
...Im reading this over...and can obviously see that NYCTom has NOT rode the SFNE version....They are absolutely diff rides and the only thing simular between them are the color and trains, for God sakes the track isnt even the same.
sfnesros on 3/8/2002 4:37:01 PM said:
its pretty obvious that tom never rode sros@sfne. The layout of that and the other two ros could not be any more different. Any idiot who had ridden both can easily tell that they are in no ways similar at all. The only similarities are the name and color sceme. Nothing else. And by the way, sros @ sfne is much much better than nitro.
Sephiroth7 on 3/8/2002 9:32:00 PM said:
I would hope u think its better, I mean it is ur name. But it doesnt give u the same feeling of flying that Nitro provides. Ok...the drop is bigger, but the rest of the ride isnt. Both are great rides, but I like Nitro slightly more...
sfnesros on 3/8/2002 10:43:52 PM said:
I think that superman gave a greater feeling of flying because the trains are not so high off the track as on nitro. I like superman better also because the rest of the ride isnt as big as nitro, meaning the speed and airtime are stronger.
Paul on 3/9/2002 12:24:05 AM said:
Also, the trains are not as big on SROS..on Nitro when your around the middle you feel to safe and it doesnt give you the same type of freedom as SROS has.
Sephiroth7 on 3/10/2002 10:38:47 PM said:
Well I usually sit in the front and I like the fact that u are high above the ground, not near the track...its a unique experience. I think it is smoother and I like the layout of Nitro slightly better. I mean both rides are so good its stupid to say which is better... they are both similar types of rides...it is truly a matter of opinion...
