Review of Expedition Everest @ Animal Kingdom

I dont know, I think it is overrated. After haring all the raving review I was really looking forward to this one and expected to be something out of the world. But instead it is just another roller coaster with mountain theming. The theme is really great, but I think the rest is not as original as I think it would be. The finale is a bit of let down. After all the story and heavy advertisment of the Yeti legend, Disney gave you one second to say hi to him. I am sorry, but I felt cheated.

Maybe the high anticipation you had for Expedition Everest was the reason for its downfall. Personally, I think that its just a huge family coaster, but many people will still enjoy it though because of its storyline & monstrous theming & landscaping.

Maybe they should of stop the coaster in front of the yeti so you could of looked at him for hours. You only see the yeti for a couple of seconds is because they want you to go on the ride again to see him.

The reason for the short visual is to go along with the experience. The storyline is not that you are searching for the Yeti rather that you are trying to get away from the danger of the Yeti. Therefore, pausing infront of him doesnt make sense. Yes, he is a marval to look at however, he is part of the experience and even more important the storyline. I dont think he is meant to say "hi" to but rather to escape from.

Anything below a 6 for this coaster is flat-out unfair.

Why? It is a persons opinion on the ride. They gave their reasons for it.

There should at least be some sort of trim brake as you approach the Yeti. You blow by way too fast. The Yeti is supposedly the most complex animatronic figure that Disney has ever constructed, and you only see a flash of him. Lame!
