 Review of Derby Racer @ Playland Amusement Park

This is a great classic ride. This version (I believe there are only three of these rides left?)runs much faster then that at Cedar Point and thus gives a very intense ride, however, this ride is not as well kept as that at Cedar Point, the horses move up and down, but they no longer move back and forth, thus eliminating the racing element of the ride.

Yeah. I noticed that this summer, just never bothered to update my review. Probably deserve a 10 now, as the best example of the ride out there (even though there are only two, this one kicks CPs butt).

Ah, you have to hand it to Playlands derby racer - the Illions horses are absolutely incomparable. Theres a whole page devoted to them in William Manns Painted Ponies book - now thats a sure sign of carousel history!

Yeah, we know, you said that already. Anyway, I guess that is why I wasnt feeling this ride that much. I was expecting much greater things.
