The Future of Cedar Point

Here is a nice article on how the park in Sandusky is planning for the future. They pick their words very carefully and are a bit vague, but they did give clues that Cedar Point isnt going to let Magic Mountain take the title for most coasters easily.

However, in recent years competition in the roller coaster and thrill-ride industry has been fierce. Perhaps no park has challenged Cedar Point for thrill-ride supremacy as much as Magic Mountain, a Six Flags park in Valencia, Calif. Magic Mountain claims to have 14 roller coasters, with No. 15 coming soon. But Cedar Point claims Magic Mountains Superman: the Escape is not a roller coaster, meaning Wicked Twister would give Cedar Point the record for most coasters with 15. In any case, Witherow said Cedar Point is not concerned with all the hype.

The ride is more important, they could have 50 coaster but if they arn't good who cares.

Superman isn't a coaster because when Magic Mountain announced Goliath they said it was the "tallest rollercoaster in the world" they wouldn't have said this if Superman was a rollercoaster.
