Six Flags Suit Settled

The girl who lost a toe on the Cajun Cliffhanger at SFGA. The amount was undisclosed but Im sure a nice a chunk of change.

The Cajun Cliffhanger, as it was called at Great America, spun riders who stood inside a cylinder so centrifugal force held them against a wall. The floor was lowered, and as the cylinder slowed riders slid to the floor.

But when Kati Konstantaras was on the ride with her father and older brother in July 2000, the operator raised the floor after it had been slowed and she had begun to slide down. Katis right foot was wedged between the floor and the wall, crushing her toes

I heard that she got 9.1 million and she convinced Six Flags to close all of its rides that are just like Cajun Cliffhanger

If her toe was caught in that ride she was in the wrong. I got one of these rides at my home park. As that ride was runs down, the ride lifts the floor and you slid down and they lift the floor to the required level. The only way she could have gotten her toe stuck in the floor is if she hade pulled her feet up onto the wall. This is another good example of how the majority of problems in Parks are the patrons not doing the right thing. When the instructions say keep you feet firmly planted on the floor, they mean just that.

What are you takling about they said that it was clearly the ride operator'sfault and not the girl's. I don't know where you got your information but thats not true. you know that if it was the girl's fault do you really think her family would of went through so much trouble just to get Six Flags to close the rides probably not!!!

Almost same exact thing happened to me at Hersheypark in the late 70's. The ride there was called the Rotor. I had sandals on and the floor came up and wedged my big toe. Fortunately, it went back down again almost instantaneously, but I did wind up with a blood clot under the nail. Wasn't the most pleasant way to walk around the park. Of course, I still went on rides.... :-)
