IOA Getting New Ride
Submitted By: ThmPrkCrtc on 10/15/2001 11:30:00 AM
I talked with a inside friend at IOA this weekend and he confirmed that the park will be breaking ground on a new "major" attraction within the next two to three months. Im sure of my source and have no doubt that work will begin within this time frame. He wouldnt comment any more on what type of attraction it would be except to say it would indeed be a major one.

I read it could possibly be a hyper coaster behind Jurasic. Like Goliath it will go underground. There is a 200 feet height limit so you would probably reach 200 and fall 250. Cant wait!!!

I don't think therre is a 200ft. maximum. That is a rumor. I remember Mark telling someone there isn't a height maximum in another conversation so I don't think height is a problem. I would be VERY disapointed if we got another hypercoaster at IOA. Been there, done that. I hope they have something original that no one has ever seen before, otherwise it would not live up to the IOA name. If I wanted a hyper, I could go to freakin New Jersey and ride Nitro. In what other park can I go to ride a ride like Spiderman??? No park....

I worded that wrong. I meant to say "I would be VERY dissapointed if IOA got a hypercoaster like all the other parks have.

i agree they need something cutting edge since the sept 11th tourism in orlando has dropped drastically and they need something out of this world to bring people back.
