Well looks like today recurring theme for news will be Rollercoaster mishaps :/ .. ug.. Starting off how about vistors being stuck on a coaster at Alton Towers park in England.

Twenty eight people had to be rescued from a rollercoaster at Alton Towers theme park on Sunday afternoon.

The Corkscrew ride failed to complete its circuit, trapping the visitors in its loops for 90 minutes.

A spokesman for the park said no one was injured and an investigation is underway into what went wrong.

Isn't this the second time this year that this coaster has screwed up? I remember reading somewhere that the coaster started to derail so the emergency features cut in to stop the train... something like that. Not good for alton!

What is the deal with all of these coasters getting stuck or colliding or screwing up? Are they not taking proper precautions? I myself have been stranded on the peak of a roller coaster before. Only for ten minutes but It gave a mini-scare.

Being stranded on the peak of a coaster and being stranded in a corkscrew are two completely different circumstances. For one coasters break down all the time and leave people on the tops of hills. But when you get a coaster that is stuck inside a corkscrew, you've got problems. If you can't fix it tear it down. No use getting sued over something that could have been prevented.
