Tower of Terror: The Movie

I thought they already actually did a made for TV movie, no reason not to try and ride the Pirates franchise though and milk another franchise for a few bucks.
According to Bloody Disgusting, Disney is working on turning their popular theme park ride into a movie. "While rights issues are still being worked out, the plan is to follow a group of characters that enter a bizarre world where nothing is as it seems." The ride is inspired by "The Twilight Zone" TV series and first opened in 1994. I also loved this ride and always went on it every time I went to their park, which is why I'm not sure whether I should be excited or not?
...
Apparently the Tower of Terror was turned into a TV movie back in 1997 that starred Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst. I don't ever remember seeing that, so I can't speak about it, but I'm sure Disney is not going to let it hold them back on this feature version of the ride. Could this turn out any good?
I'd love to see me some more Steve Guttenberg, I was just thinking the other day, the world really needs some more Cocoons.

That movie was on Disney Channel not too long ago. It was funny how they really tried to hide the park and make it look like they were really in Hollywood.

I saw the 97 movie when it premiered and I have it on DVD. A very good movie far better then the Haunted mansion movie. This is in all a bad idea they can only make things worse.

I saw the tv movie it was always played on the disney channel when I was young. It was a really great movie about an abandon hotel. I saw the movie before actually gettin on the ride. When I got on the ride I already was familiar wit the theme which made it so much more enjoyable
