American Idol Want You To Work For Free

Following the the same vein as who wants to be a millionare, an American Idol attraction is starting, where you to can provide entertainment for hundrends for absoutely free!
Walt Disney World guests can register to audition in front of a Disney casting director for a chance to take part in the theme park show. Contestants who make the cut must then audition for a Disney producer. Those selected by producers will perform in front of an onstage panel of judges and an audience of park guests who vote on each show's winners.

Performing guests with the highest votes compete in an end-of-day grand finale show at the attraction. The winner of that competition gets a guaranteed reservation, with no waiting in long lines, for a future regional audition for the real "American Idol" TV show.
I don't know, some of the "talent" at Disney parks is passable at best, watching Flo from Indiana belt out some horrible rendition of Celine Dion hits just doesn't seem like a great time to me. Either way I'm sure it'll be a hit.

At least Millionaire gave you some sort of prize. This show basically gives you a Fast Pass for the actual American Idol line, and that's after singing in front of an audience twice and some different audition rounds. I'll probably still check this place out, but it's mainly because I want to see their set design and voting system. I could care less about the karaoke...

Can't imagine how awful that singing is going to be... oh man.

With how many people enter the park daily, I would hope someone has a semi-decent voice. That being said I believe that while the idea is somewhat hokey, it will most likely be a hit and hopefully will deter some of the crowds away from other large shows like Fantasmic. This show will pretty much be luck of the draw whether you get good singers or bad singers. I hope there will be a voting option where you can choose to give none of the performers the American Idol pass.
