In Summer of 2005 my family is going down to visit some family friends who just HAPPEN to live near Orlando (which is why I plan on going) Anyway, it's been 7 years since I've last been down there, and a lot has popped up, which is why I seek your advice. I know that I can get a week off of work (in which case I'd fly), however, if they let me I'd like to take 2 weeks off (in which case I'd probably drive, 1.5 days each way). I'm starting the steps of comparing travel packages (which include theme park tickets). So help me consider what to do should I have a week, or 2 weeks. What would be possible to see in a half day (my travel days?)
Here's the stuff that I'm aware of that's either new since I've last been or stuff that I never got around to doing my last go around:
Parks
Universal Islands of Adventure
Sea World
Busch Gardens Tampa(worth the drive?)
Disney's Animal Kingdom
Disney Quest (not really a park, but still)

Attractions
Epcot- Mission Space, Test Track (it was SUPPOSED to be open when I was last there)
Magic Kingdom- Mickey's Phillar Magic
MGM Studios- Rock n' Roller Coaster
Universal Studios- Mummy

I know that Disney and Universal have a "park hopper" pass, does Busch Gardens/Sea World?
Right now I'm thinking Epcot can be done in a half day (those 2 attractions are about the only thing I want to see) and so can Sea World (there's only a couple attractions I want to see there)

Thanks for any tips!

I would say that BGT is definatly worth the 75 minute drive or whatever it is. Montu is incredible, and Kumba is awesome too. Plus, the park is really nicely themed, and the new coaster should be pretty cool. As for the park hoppers, a local woul dbe able to tell you more.

If you're going next summer, you should definatly go to BGT because the new coaster should be open by then

Epcot can certainly be done in half a day, but be sure to see Spaceship Earth as well as Test Track and Mission: Space

Also, this may be old news, but what kind of coaster is BGT getting?

Nobody really knows. The track is being kept in boxes and the park hasnt made any announcements. All of the rumors point to a B&M dive machine however. It would be the first in the states

For some reason, that doesn't excite me much BGT should get a B&M Hyper like Apollo's Chariot.

I think I'll have to see it come together before I can decide how exciting it is. Supposedly it has a hammerhead and a splash down into a pool of water at the end

Epcot in half a day? I spent two full days there and wished I could've spent another...

If you're looking for rides, epcot is a quick park to go through, if you want an overall park experience, you could spend eternity in that park.

Well, I'm looking for rides, so Epcot doesn't require much time (I'm not a show person)
BTW, in regaurds to Busch Gardens, according to rcdb.com, a riddle on the rides construction wall states:

Quote:
What has 48 feet, but seldom touches the ground?

Based on that, I would think it would be a stand up, you know "FEET"

Actually that would lead me to think invert!

A 200 foot invert or stand-up? Hasn't it pretty much been confirmed that it's a dive-machine?

Acutally, most ppl thin that that riddle is reffering to the train capacity. What has 48 feet? 24 people. If you added another row onto Oblivion or G5 you would get 24 riders. I seriously doubt it is a standup. The area that the coaster is going in would require a VERY compact standup. BTW, you can see all of the riddles at BGT Guide.com
