I was real pumped about this park. I had heard good things about the location, atmosphere, food, Phoenix, Twister, the haunted mansion, the flume, and, well, just about everything else at the park.

We arrived at about 11, ready to start the fun. We bought a few $10 ticket books on our way in and made our way to High Speed Thrill Coaster (#102). We had heard good things but were still totally surprised that this small kiddie coaster was not only exciting, but actually gave better airtime than some rides 10 times its size! After that, we hit the Alamo for a quick bite to eat. The food was delicious and made for an awesome breakfast. Next up was our only dissapointing part of the day, Whirlwind (#103). This ride was mildly exciting and could certainly be replaced by some much better rides. After this, it was finally time for the Phoenix (#104). The open trains, mysterious tunnel, awesome history, and bushels of airtime add up to one of the best wooden coasters on the entire planet. After getting 4 or 5 more rides we decided to move on to the other wooden monster, Twister (#105). After a front and back seat ride I was a little dissapointed by the ride. Yes, the ride was exciting and very original but it just didn't have the mean streak I expected from the ride. The Flume was up next. One of the best of its kind. Location is premier as it really makes you feel like your just canoeing along in the middle of a forest. Our final ride was the Haunted Mansion. It was amazing to see a haunted mansion be scary with old school gags in a world where it seems like you need new technology to make a ride great. After picking up some great pizza, a few cookies, and soaking in the atmosphere, we decided to head home to Columbus.

Knoebels was a great relaxing way to end a trip with ups and downs. Overall, I see the trip as a success. We rode some great rides, got our 100th coaster, and experienced some fabulous parks.

Nice short review.

No skooters, flyers, Skyride or anything like that?

I always thought Twister as being a very intense ride for a wooden coaster.

Yea, we were pressed for time and were just excited to get home so we did miss out on a few great rides but I can gurantee you this won't be the last time we'll be at this splendid park and next time we'll probably camp out and spend a full day there.

I'm in real pain over this, Knoebels - I was seriously looking forward to PPP this year...until I realized it's on the same weekend as Greyhounds Reach the Beach. Basically, it's a HUGE greyhound adoption event in Delaware, where thousands of people come with their dogs, to hang out, make friends, and SPEND LIKE CRAZY. Since I own a business selling greyhound merchandise and set up booths at events like this, well, I can't turn away from it. A huge chunk of our yearly income comes from it, and, well...you see my predicament...

Yeah, i see what you mean. Me and my family have had to turn down countless trips to DP, Knoebels, Hershey, and others for family business that we made prior to the planning. I don't even know if I'm going, but my dad said it sounded interesting. Next year, definitely

Definitely next year - we'll all have to plan from the start of the season. I'm totally there.

It's not a successful ride on the Flying Scooters unless you've got bruises to tell the story for you.

Next year I will have my drivers licience, so I can go all the time! Well as long as I'm not working and I have money. Were actually thinking about playing there next year with our band, that would be cool.

That would be really great - good luck with booking it. Is Knoebels pretty open to booking local bands?

Well we tried this year and they said they were full so maybe if we send them like an audition video or something over the winter maybe they could fit us in for next year.

Ever wonder what happens when your seatbelt is nonfunctional on the Skooters at Knoebels? I don't think you want to.
