well, i went to great adventure for the last time this season on the last day of the season. i only wanted to get a few rides in so i got to the park at about 7. i figured that at this point it wouldnt be too crowded.... but i was really wrong. i have never seen the park as crowded as it was yesterday night. in fact, ive never seen any park that crowded. this place was really packed.

anyways, the atmosphere was awesome. fright fest in combination with the "last day" mentality of all the employees made for a great experience even with the crowds. first ride of the night was nitro. the queue was full and spilled out into the midway but the wait was only an hour. my last ride for the season was probably the greatest. second to back row, at night and the fact that its been a couple months since ive ridden her. drop was amazing as always.

next up was medusa but on the walk over, we hit up the haunted trail. kind of lame but it had its moments. medusa was only about a 5 minute wait. same feelings for this ride as nitro. a great ride made even better by the circumstances. after this we went over to rolling thunder since i didnt have a chance to ride the right side yet. i like the right side better, its faster, but its still very rough. such a shame to see a could be great coaster like this go to waste.

that was all we had time for and really all i wanted to do. just something to hold me over for the off season although i doubt it will. might have to make a trip down to florida over the winter sometime. fright fest was great too. very nice theming (i really liked the fire and lighting effects). really improves the theme park experience

I went to pick up my 2004 season pass the weekend prior and was shocked at how crowded the place was. GASM was the only coaster that was walk on. I didn't ride anything, just picked up my pass and left

Damn, we must walk past each other in parks all the time and not know it. Anyways, it was a great night, though indeed very crowded. Blame the weather, how can you give up sunny and 70 degrees in November? I wanted to make my last ride Rolling Thunder as well, but got on Medusa too late and missed that last train. The crews were all awesome that night though, fast and efficant, best all year. Can't wait for April.

No, it is just a drive through thing, no park or rides

The only park that has any rides open at all in the northeast in the winter is Hershey, but alas, no coasters are open.

well this year winter lights at gadv will have a train ride that they will set up. im sure that will lead to more smaller rides but i definately doubt a coaster will ever be open for it.

nice little thing they do is your season pass acts as a coupon for this although i think it would be better if they let season pass holders in for free.

lol thats perfect, except i think they dont run the coasters in the winter because they are frozen over with snow and ice, and you will get frostbite all over your face.

They had a train there last year too. The Train went around in a circle with a radius of about 8 feet a few times and they wanted 5.00 for it.
