I'm taking the family to our 1st trip to cedar point. We want to stay at either hotel breakers or sandcastle. Please give me some of your thoughts on where to stay and also tips for our trip to the park. Also we are considering going to six flags in cleveland or kings Island. Help me out with this choice. thank you

Kings Island is much better than Six Flags. I recommend going to Kings Island. It has a better selection of rides and coasters as well as entertainment for the whole family. The Kings Island family area was voted the best in the country. That's a plus if you're going with children. The hotels in the area are cheap and offer discounted tickets. Some even offer a shuttle to the park

Six Flags has a some what good selection of rides, but most of them can be found at other parks. This park is expensive and not worth the money. The park gets very crowded on weekends and the lines tend to get very long. I would only recommend this park if your family is interested in wildlife and sealife. It's also the closer of the two from Cedar Point. Your best bet would be Kings Island.

You also gain early access to the park by staying at one of their hotels.

That is worth the $125. How do you predict the lines on July 15-17.

Lines might be shorter because it's a weekday and people work. Three days are enough to do everything at the park. Did you get the Getaway Guide? It has discounts for hotels, souveniers, food, and much more. The number is 1-800-BEST-FUN.

No I have not but I will. As for Hershey park my first coaster was the SuperDooperLooper and Comet. I was so young when I went but I loved it. Enjoy the atmosphere.

Is it possible to do all the coasters in a day at Hershey Park?

It's OK, I got the help I needed. Do you have any more questions about CP or the surrounding area?

It says here int the brochure that you have to be at least 54" to ride Millennium Force. For Wicked Twister, it says 52". I'm not sure about TTD. It should say the height requirements on the official site.

I've been to the Sandcastle Suites and the Lighthouse Point cottage at Cedar POint. The Sandcastle suites was just a normal hotel room. The cottage on the other hand was really amazing. The cottage itself is so beautiful. It smells really great, of cedar or something,it has a living room/kitchen, bedroom, a hallway,a deck and a bathroom. Its right on Lake Erie so the view is perfect. It's the most amazing place I ever stayed at. If you ever get a chance, stay here
