today i went to the park for about two hours and got a good amount done. it was alittle more crowded than i would have hoped but lines were short so i cant complain too much. i drove over by myself cause no one was around and got a nice parking spot as far away from the gate as possible, it was terrible but i didnt feel like wasting time looking for a space.

first up, nitro. this had the longest wait of the day... about 20 minutes. since i was alone, i was able to sneak into empty seats after i got off, definately a plus. i was able to squeeze in 4 laps before it broke down, the last two of which i did with my eyes closed for the entire ride. i actually found it to be less thrilling but the first drop was definately better.

next up was BTR. this thing is fast! i got the second to last row (walk on BTW) and it just takes off. much more forceful and intense than i remember, especially that turn after the second loop. they were also stopping the trains on a dime which was interesting.

i headed to the chiller next, robin was open. waited for a train and i was on. this too is faster than i remember. the launch excelerates more quicker than other premier launches. this ride is still awesome and i cant wait until they get batman up and running.

after that was GASM. i waited for the front and was practically the only one on the train. right around this time superman started testing. continuing the trend, this ride is also much faster than i remember and those loops are very forceful.

i watched superman for a few minutes after i got off. that ride looks very nice. pacing is good although it seemed slower than i would have thought. i must say that the extra row on the train will probably be the best seat in the house aside from the front row. the back enters the pretzel loop with alot of speed- definately the row for the greatest g force.

overall i had a blast. didnt mind riding by myself. i also picked up a season parking pass so now when i visit, i wont need to pay anything except if im hungry that means alot of trips to great adventure this summer

superman wont open till thursday (and ill be there) but the ride itself looks ready to go- they just need to get done the station and other details.

that would be the route i would go, but the coasters in a little different order. hit B&R:TC, BTR (one lap on both), nitro (for however many laps), skull MT, GASM, superman? (i cant really decide where to put this in because i dont know how long the wait will be), RT, viper (if open), medusa, runaway train

BB: I will be there as well on Thursday, but not until about 6 PM. I will be wearing an ACE shirt, and if the whether is cold I will have a grey jacket with an ACE pin and a yellow ribbon.

RAM: Check out This Thread, It should have any and all information on Great Adventure you could possibly ever need.

The story: You were on your way to a David Bowie concert, the car broke down and you needed a mode of transportation. So you found a wheel barrow and a really big icelandic endurance runner guy named Magnus. He then wheeled you 10 miles to the David Bowie concert while singing "I'm Afraid of Americans".............right? lol

not to get off topic or anything...

i wish it was that interesting. i was doing some construction work moving dirt in a wheel barrow and, i dont know why, but everyone thought i was good at it. i already had the nick name bowie (pronounced "bow" like bow-wow, "ie" like ee) so they just put the two together. how i got my bowie nickname is another story but its kind of mean so i dont want to tell it

you know, i wonder if a variation of my story has ever happened to someone. Anyway, I need to get my season pass to SFGADv before the discount ends. I can't wait...I've gone too long without some sort of amusement ride lol.
