I know there's a thread for new coaster ideas...well does anyone else have any other kind of new ride ideas that would be fun and different? I have one, i would like to see a stand up drop tower. They have stand up coasters so why not a stand up drop tower. I think that would be really fun. What else?

I'd love to see a ride that moves like a Top Spin, but they have many single cars like swinging himalayas with appropriate restraints. Each car would rotate and flip on its own while the ride's arms will also be moving. That ride would be insane!

I thought of a ride once called "Black Hole." It's basically a Ring of Fire with 2 person cars along the track. The ring would start flat with the cars upright. Then once loaded, the track (with cars attached) would begin to spin and the cars would flip sideways. The ring would then be hoisted upright via two towers on either side of the ring. The ring would then flip vertical so the movement would be like an Enterprise. Then the ring would start to revolve horizontal so the cars are traveling around the ring, and the ring is spinning on a different axis.

I also thought of a really odd ride that could probably rival the Zipper in vertical chaos. It would be a big boom with a counterweight on one end and a claw looking wheel placed vertically on the other end. The claw would have maybe 10 spokes with a car on each. The car would have 4 seats, 2 on each side facing inward and the car would be able to flip vertically. When the ride starts, the claw would spin at a medium speed and the boom would spin in the same direction at a medium speed. The cars, of course, would flip like mad.

Both those rides sort of Exist.
Zamperla's Top star Tour is nearly teh same thing as your first one. A few othr companies make these as well.
Zamperla's Power Surge is allot like your second one. It's a fantastic ride with chairs that flip and teh main arm spins. Its a blast. but unlike the Zipper you can easly get a number of flips without having to force it.

Top Star Tour that mrc was talking about
Moser has their own version of the Top Star as well. However, that's not the same as your ride - your ride would tilt like an enteprise rather than swing like a pendulum, which is what Top Star's do. KMG Spinouts come close to what you are thinking about, but they don't go vertical to my knowledge. your idea sounds awesome btw!
If I interpreted it right, there are quite a few variations of the 2nd ride you mentioned, including the Moser Star Force, Zamperla Power Surge and, to a lesser extent, the KMG Tango

Both of the ride came from existing rides.
The second ride is basically a 1 wheeled Watkins Rampage. The motion would be exactly the same really. The only difference is that my ride would spin faster with cars that could flip.
The first ride is more like a circular Hi-Roller only there are cars all along the track, and they are able to travel around the ring pretty fast.

Stand Up tower, thats interesting. I would prolly be scared outta my mind that I would fall out.
What about something like they use at space camp. Where you stand in 3 rings and you try to stabalize yourself. So that and at the same time its on a track. Maybe slow each part down a little bit or people be puken everywhere.
Btw, I hate trolls.

It's not supposed to be funny, it was because we were attacked by a spammer and were trying to get current threads back to the top, as I myself was informed. And watch who you say "man" to in that tone - that's a moderator you're talking to.

Whoa, calm down cowboy, I was just saying that you should respect the moderating team, that's all. No, you didn't really do anything wrong, but it is to your benefit to not piss off the mods, as should be obvious. And I'm not sure what you mean by uptight...we're simply saying that two-word posts are generally frowned upon and not appreciated here on TPC.

hey man this is my thread so if i wanna put a 2 word comment in then i will,i have never had any problems on any other board i've been on, yall are the first to be all strict and actually care about the number of words that are in a post. so whats the minimum 5 words? 10 words? is there a maximum? are there too many words in this post? Yall didnt say anything to that adriahna person so why put me on the spot and finger me out, i wasnt the only one who did it. I honestly have no desire to bicker with you, and you have created a good thread here. However, just because a person creates a thread does not generally entitle them to make very small, useless comments like that. Now, you only did it once, and that's fine, Bob was just pointing it out to you. The moron you mentioned that is currently harassing us will be dealt with quickly and efficiently, so you can rest soundly on that one. And adriahna is a regular, we know that she will not make a habit out of posting two-word comments, and we aren't saying you will either. Please, just calm down, we have meant no harm to you through this whole matter, and it will be easier for everyone if the whole thing is just put to rest.
