Hey, I'm new to TPC so if I'm doing anything wrong in this post please do't get mad...

I will be traveling down to BGW during the first week of August. Does anyone have any tips on when the least crowded day of the week is?
Also, if anyone has any tips on what I should make sure not to miss, ect I'd love to hear them. If anyone has any hotel suggestions I'd apreciate thoser as well.

Thanks

Well, I haven't been there, but I'm pretty sure you should go straight to Apollo's Chariot first.

No offense bunkleg, but that wasn't really the best of replies.

I would use this gameplan: ride Nessie first since it's the only big ride in the first staggar (the park staggars its opening). After that, at 10:30, jet to Apollo's and ride back row, left side. From there you can ride again, or do a water ride (the weak rapids ride and the splash boat are nearby, or do the flats in the area, or even better, ride the train back to the rear of the park. From there, you can hit Alpengeist, the log flume, Big Bad Wolf and Darkastle, and after that, be sure to eat at the Trapper's Smokehouse in New France -- the best park food out there IMO, and not too expensive.

From there, you can head back towards the front and ride whatever, but that's what I would do to get the big kids ride out of the way first. Oh, and don't do what I did, make sure you go to at least one of the famous BGW shows.

Have fun

thanks for the tip, bobfunland. I was also wondering if anyone has stayed at the kingsmill resort, its a bit pricey but includes tickets to the park.
