Revolution and The Claw are the same rides, and are so boring once you get going on them.

I've never seen those two rides in person but the Fireball which is a smaller carnival version of the 2 is insane with HUGE Gs at the bottom of the swing. Maybe those two are toned down or something.

A well greased spinning tea cup ride can't be beat. It's both a ride and an upper body workout.

If every Flying Scooter was like Knoebels' Flyers I'd agree with Adriahna. However, most of the Flying Scooters I rode this summer pale in comparison (Lake Compounce, PKD, Seabreeze, Holiday World, HP). Only Indiana Beach's "Air Crow" was a quality ride.

Good Point, larry - I should have clarified my decision by saying, "Bish-Rocco Flying Scooter" - the newer version, made by Larson, just doesn't measure up AT ALL. Thanks for pointing that out.

It's not a successful ride on the Flying Scooters unless you've got bruises to tell the story for you.

I've been looking around at different Breakdance sites and I can now say, without a doubt, that the Breakdance is my favorite ride.

First I downloaded a video of the "Bonner Breakdance." It's a 6 satellite BD with incredible artwork, thousands of lights, and run incredibly fast with lots of variations in speed during the course of the ride.

Next I downloaded a video of the "Deca Dance." It's a standard 4 satellite BD only it has a whole frame of lights above the ride (like at a concert) and people stand around the turntable and dance! It's like a huge dance party with the ride right in the middle! The operator also did a great job of working the passengers and the onlookers up. This was also run insanely fast, so fast that in some parts that the turntable was spinning as fast as the satellites were!

All the sites and videos of them make me want to ride the one in Astroland RIGHT NOW! It's the only one I've been on that comes close, as far as the operators mixing up the controls, to the ones over in Germany.

Horizons, I wish I was your age again, when I could still handle Astroland's BD - that thing was too much for me, although I can defend myself by stating that I had a huge Italian pepper sausage sandwich right before riding. But even to this day, 6 years later, I still shudder when I think of riding it...will I ever get the nerve to give it another go???

Well, if I went on the Sea Dragon at Astroland I would have puked. I can't take swinging ships for more than like 1 minute before I get nauseous. One that runs for like 5 minutes (Astroland's SD) certainly wouldn't treat my stomach well. Any other ride I can take though.

I ate 2 hot dogs with fries, and a huge soda at Nathans and then, maybe 20 minutes later, I was on the Breakdance. If I ate the same stuff and then went on a swinging ship, the ride op would have had to swab the deck.

I am sad to say that I have also puked from rides. But, I do have an unbelievable stomach for this stuff. It was just bad circumstances. I was in Wildwood at the Aladdin hotel. It was like noon so I ate the second half of the sub that I got from Subway the night before. I then ordered mixed vegetables and a quart of vegetable fried rice from a local Chinese place and drank like a lot of water. I have never had a bad experience with eatting and puking with rides before, so this was a normal thing for me--eat (a lot) and then ride. On our walk to Moreys Piers I began to feel sick. We rode for a little while then I was just feeling like I was going to hack stuff up at anytime, so I was constantly sitting down and taking breaks, which my girlfriend was getting mad about. I then ate a Whopper and fries from the Burger King there, which had been sitting out way too long, so I ate like half and set it on the top of a garbage and about a thousand seagulls took advantage of the situation. Then, after some whimp ride, I puked. Then some kid steped in it.

I don't know where I went with this, but I'm not a whimp. So I guess the moral of the story is, don't get the Chinese food at the shore--you will get food poisoning.

By the way, even if I had felt ok, Morey Piers stinks.

Hilarious, about the Chinese food...I actually didn't puke, and never have before, on or after a ride...but let me tell you, the closest I ever got was from Breakdance.

By the way, Hercules - that's awesome that some kid stepped in your puke - it just crowns the comedy of the whole thing.

The closest I came to puking was on Bansai at the Meadowlands Fair 2 years ago. This was after an entire day of riding rides and 2 consecutive rides on Space Roller, that latter time leaving me pouring with sweat! At the time I didn't know what my body was telling me there but now I think it was like "WAIT A LITTLE BIT BEFORE BANSAI!"

Actually, I know they do. Go to dollywood.com > Rides Page > Height Requirement, and Carousel is down there.

Park minus carousel equals not a park. That is true. I don't really think that I have been to a park that hasn't had a carousel. It is what makes the park... a carousel and a ferris wheel... those are the two things that are staples in a park.

The Carousel that Visionland had was made out plastic, Im pretty sure. It was a shame, so for now, it is just a carnival with a woodie to me.

Yeah me too, or at least I was. The worst one for me was the one at Morey's Piers. But I'm starting to get over my fear. I went on the one at Dorney on my last trip.

Yeah, the stats say that the Giant Wheel on Mariners Landing is 157 feet high...somehow I just don't think so. It seems much taller than the one at SFGAdv which is 150 feet.
