1) Alpengeist
2) Raptor
3) Dueling Dragons

Honestly, I'm sick of people bashing Alpengeist. The first drop is amazing and the whole ride is just so forceful. The cobra roll is really intense, and all of the inversions are incredible. Not to mention some creative theming. Raptor and DD are pretty equal in my mind.

The best invert that I've been on is Raptor at Cedar Point.
The cobra roll and the helix are spectacular. I'm sure my opinion will change though after my trip to BGW next year.

Montu - DD is also really good. B:TR as well. Boy, I like a lot of inverts; they're one of my favorite ride types.

1.Montu (Best from start to finish, one of the best rides out there)
2.Raptor (solid ride)
3.Fire or Ice Dragon( A bit short but you can't ignore the near misses)
4.Alpengeist (excellent ride until the end, It finishes too weak)
5.Batman the ride( very good compact ride, but at least the SFOG version feels a bit rickety, like it's getting old)

Montu, by a longshot. It is by far the world's best looping coaster. Its combination of power, grace, speed, and inversions is outstanding. Fabulous layout, theming, and landscaping make this one of the most intense and fun rides in the world. It seems to get better every time you ride it.

Second would definitely be Volcano:The Blast Coaster. The launch and rollout are great and the inline twists are better than I expected. A great adrenaline rush.

Third goes to Dueling Dragons. The theming and the uniqueness of it all give it this title alone. Fabulous layout and one of the coolest looking rides. However, take away all the extras and look at it as a regular coaster and it does not compare to Montu or V:TBC.

*Raptor does not even deserve to be on anyone's list. I'm sorry because I know a lot of people love it but I was throughly dissappointed with it when I visited CP. This was the only B+M I've been on that was noticably rough with headbanging. The worst was the final brakes cut in WAY too short and everyone jerked forward and banged their head. It just wasn't a great ride. I'm sure back in its day it ran better.

Montu is the best in my mind, and benleibo had a bunch of good points

Raptor is close, but not too close to call
DD is awesome- each coatser would be good in its own

chet- SLC's? You havent ridden too many Inverts have you? What about Talon, you're ridden it right? It has to be better than the Vekoma's

I've ridden many of the best inverts out there with the exception of Alpengeist. Montu is SO much better than all of the rest it is not even a fair race. Not Dueling Dragons, Raptor, of Wicked Twister can even give Montu a run for its money. Volcano:The Blast Coaster is the only one I think can compete, but Montu has just everything you would want in an invert.

I would have to say that Talon is the best. It just keeps you guessing (even after you have be on it as much as me). It has amazing inverts and really messes with your stomach. Great Bear is in second. I like the little helix before the big drop and the swooping little turn in the drop makes you feel like you are floating and it is just a plain crazy ride after that. Number 3 is Batman the Ride at SFGA. I hate Six Flags but this is a good ride that I went on about 6 times in my only visit to the park.

B:TR at SFGAdv and Volcano are the best I've ever been on. Volcano has great theming and an awesome launch, and the train bursting out from the top of the volcano is amazing. B:TR is a small but great coaster because it's really fast paced and exciting.

#'s 3-5 are really close, but that's how I rank my inverts. I really want to ride Talon, it looks great. I also want to ride Nemesis and Raptor. I also need to get around to riding a Batman clone. Eventually Ill get up to SFOG

I think Talons better than Alpengeist. I think the ultimate invert would be Talon about the size of Alpengeist. Great Bear would be also, and if it had extra element or two.

The layout of Great Bear was really different from most inverts, thats why it gets a 3 from me even though I havrn't been on it in like 5 years now . It was memorable I'll say that!

I know it's been said before, but TG: TJC looks like one of the most under-rated inverts out there, and maybe one of B&Ms best.
