I know there is very little chance of finding someone that has experienced both attractions, but I was wondering how Splash Mountain's (at Magic Kingdom) big drop compares to that of the Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal before it was dismantled at Paramount's King's Island outside Cincinnati, OH? The Cove's final drop was supposedly 50' high and pushed the limits of what I would do as far as a drop. From what I've read, Splash Mountain isn't much higher than this if any. Anyone out there actually experienced them both?

Wild Thornberrys was formerly Kings Mills Log Flume and has a 40 foot drop, which isnt as steep as Splash Mountain's. Splash Mountain has a 52.5 (5 story) drop. I'd say SM.

I haven't been on Splash Mountain, but I really, really miss Kenton's Cove. Now that was a great ride. I haven't been to the park in about 7 years, so I don't know if it's been dismantled, or just themed. All I know is that at that height, it always seemed like a really dangerous ride. I loved it.

I bet it can't compete with Splash Mountain.

Actually, I heard that Splash Mountain's drop was 60 ft tall. And I also think that SM is the greatest log flume there is, but from what I've heard, DDR could come close.

Ripsaw Falls' drop kicks the you know what out of Splash Mountain's drop. Airtime on a log flume is an incredible feeling Also, I like the theme of Ripsaw Falls better. The only thing that bugs me about that ride is the indoor part of the ride in the beginning. The theming there isn't too good. Luckily, once you're outside, it's all great from there on.

Finally rode Splash Mountain. I have to say that the final drop is no worse than the KCKC before it was dismantled. In fact, its not even the best drop on Splash Mountain. the indoor drop in the dark is much more thrilling. Splash Mountain is a great ride and the best themed log flume I've ever seen. Now, if I could just find a copy of Song of the South.

Splash Mountain is a great ride and the best themed log flume I've ever seen and rode. KCKC doesn't compare to this ride in my opinion.

Once again, you just dug up a thread that is like 2 years old! And to top it off, it is from someone who posted twice and hasn't been seen in forever! I just didn't think it could get any better
