OK, I'm planning a trip to Cedarpoint in late July. For those of you in that area or those of you who flew over there, what is the closest major airport to the park? Also, what hotel would you recommend staying at that is in or right next to the park? Thanks soooo much for those of you who can help me!

The closest international airport is Hopkins. It's about an hour away. There has to be some smaller airports closer to the park.

Would a bus be able to take me from the Hopkins to Cedarpoint for a cheap price or something? Also, what is a good hotel to stay at which is at Cedarpoint?

Since I live close to the park, I've never stayed at any of their hotels. There should be a bus to CP from the airport. I don't know if RTA goes to Sandusky. There's always a taxi or train. I'd call the park if I were you. They'll give you all the information you need. There's many places to rent a car from the airport also.

I live close to Cedar point so I never stay at hotels either but they have the Breakers Hotel and other little holiday inns and stuff on th way...depending on your budget. If you go to www.cedarpoint.com it should give hotels close to the park. If not do a Search for hotels in Sandusky and see which ones are close and it your budget. Have fun at CP. CP is alot like Pringles...Once you pop, you can't stop. Have a blast!

alright buddy, i just got back from a trip to cedar point, and we stayed at the Breakers Express. Its a quality hotel thats about 2 minutes from the park. and if you stay there you get early entrance to the park every morning.

Not to mention it is real cheap, and before you go, go to CP's website and request a brochure, the brochure has tons of coupons for like half off all tickets, and $10 off your stay at the Breakers Express, it can really make your trip affordable.

Just call this number: 1-800 BEST FUN. Request the Getaway Guide. Inside there's a map, information, hotel rates, and many money saving cupons.

yeah, we used those when we went...we never had to pay more than half price for a pass.

sorry, i just meant a one day pass...no there was nothing for season passes.
