It's probably been a while since this has been posted. I remember B&M being way more popular on this site, but that was years ago. The gap has certainly closed, and the more innovative Intamin seems to make a lot of the best rides in the world; El Toro, Maverick, Top Thrill, Bizzaro, etc. With the dive machines, Inverts, and Wing Rider coasters, B&M seems to be making a strong case as well.
So, has Intamin surpassed B&M as the greatest roller coaster manufacturer in the world?

probably, if you limit it to 1. steel firms 2. currently operating firms 3. enthusiast opinions, not the general public 4. the opinions of people who don't have to maintain the rides or insure them

As of now they've become more popular, but IMHO I still say B&M make the best quality steel coasters in terms of reliability & overall ride performances. Intamin specializes in certain elements (TTD's 0-128 mph launch, El Toro's steep drop descent for a woody, etc.), but B&M create well-rounded coaster experiences that never get old.
