I'm fairly new to this site but now that Spring is here I'm planning my 2009 trips and didn't know if you had any advice for me. So far I am planning on doing Indiana Beach in June for a weekend for my birthday. Adventureland in Iowa in July (maybe fourth of july weekend) and maybe a third trip in august or september and I'm torn between silver dollar city and holiday world. Whichever one I don't do I will catch next year so i'm not worried about that. Which of those two would you choose? and where do you recommend staying at indiana beach? I already decided i'm doing adventureland inn in iowa and also going to the casino. I know I covered a lot there but any input anyone can give me on hotels, the parks themselves, or other points of interests near these parks would be great.

I guess it woudl depend on what your looking for in a park. Adventure land has 3 solid wood coasters. Silver Dollar City has steel coasters but a higher focus on themeing.

ok thanks. I think i'm going to do holiday world and adventureland and do either silver dollar city or dollywood next year. My first trip is going to be to Indiana Beach in June for my birthday. Im so excited since I've never been there but always wanted to

I've never been to SDC, but HW is great. I was there twice last year, once by myself and once with my family, and I had a great time on both visits. Three amazing woodies, a great atmosphere, a clean park with friendly employees, and an awesome water park (by my standards, anyway; I haven't been to as many waterparks as some). Whether you can get there this year or not, I highly recommend it.

Yeah i've done a lot of research on all the different parks and read a lot of reviews of HW both on here and other sites and it has gotten a lot of great reviews. The new Pilgrims Plunge looks awesome! But as a haunted house enthusiast I was suprised and saddened that a park that prides itself on celebrating holidays doesn't have a single haunted attraction...
