Zamperla has installed an interesting new ride where you ride on a horse and use a infra-red lance to take aim at the shield on another horse. If hit, your horse rocks from the impact.

I really don't see this taking off. I could see King Richards fair with one. but, I doubt MA woudl let it operate.

I agree that larger parks won't add it. I can see small little family entertainment centers and tiny parks adding these though, as long as they aren't that expensive and that it works unlike Zamperla's fire brigades.

It's a kiddie ride with an saddle. Not something that woudl be Considered safe by many parents. It's like in the 150,000 range. I don't see FEC's Investing in This when for a little more then can get a ride the Family can ride.

After Medieval Times...I have had a huge urge to joust. This would be interesting.

I agree. They should make a larger version and provide you with some sort of body armor, so that you could actually be thrown from the horse.

^ That one would never be found in the US (maybe Europe because of some of the rides I have seen there).

Well that's what I'm geting at. it's set up isn't great. Even then there are only a few park in Europe I could see getting one and I'm sure the score technology would bring up the price.

Maybe if seat belts or something were added to restrain you, this ride would sell better. Also, looking at the ride, the capacity looks bad.

And the capacity of most kiddie rides is stellar? What is the point of discussing these developments if both of you (mrc and Yoshi) are just going to descry the negative elements? For me, it becomes very old when every thread in the News Discussion and Rumors are filled with you two jabbering on about the latest developments, but nearly exclusively in a negative way.

I didn't post it not would I have. but it's a discussion. If you want to put in your 2 cent's feel free. but your post above may have been a joke didn't help add to it much.

actually you'll find that many kiddie rides have reasonably good capacity. not compared to a Frisbee or major thrill ride but on par with most Family rides for parks.

Wow, you, mrc, of all the people to talk about contributing to a thread. The two forums that I mentioned in my previous post are currently littered with threads of you either agreeing or disagreeing with the last poster, generally for fairly constant reasons, regardless of the situation. I'm not going to get into this here, as we're not in the FoN, but please, don't be hypocritical. If you and Yoshi get off on hacking new concepts and rumors to death, and find that to be a solid way to contribute to the site, so be it.
