if they went with that timetable and the next big coaster came in 2009 what type do you think it would be and where would it be located.

I don't think we will see a new coaster and a new country if it's in 2 years. Maybe A larger scale unique attraction in 09. then A new land and coaster in 2011.

I would think that they will put in a state of the art ride but not a coaster in 2009. They will have a coaster soon after that, but I would hope they would expand to an empty lot instead of tearing down something else. As for what kind I don't have an idea.

Personally I would like to see a major attraction added to Scotland They reworked the area but technically nothing was added. apparently the Brewery is in the way for a coaster to work so some sort of ride attraction relying on a building could be added without people seeing the brewery.

That will help square away allot of the existing land. leaving things open for a new land.

as for a coaster I really want to see a wood coaster added to The park. They have more then enough Major steel coasters. They also need a family level coaster.

I would think that the next country would be Spain because it is easy to build and theme. I think that is the only logical choice they have. They could have so many cool rides based in Spain. I also think the next new hyped-up ride will not be a coaster, but I think we won't wait as long for it.

Not that I think Russia really will be the next country added (due to much bias against Russians in the US), but it would be easy to theme.

As much as I'd love to see a wooden coaster at BGE & I've said that statement many times before, it won't happen because of neighbors who live behind the park's fences & they'll end up complaining about the incessant noise. In terms of a family coaster, I think Big Bad Wolf fills that criteria, but I can see a kiddie coaster being a future addition.

Yeah I agree, I don't think the BGW will ever get a wooden coaster. That would be cool, but I don't think it will ever happen. It is somewhat against their image.

I think that it would be cool to see a new Standup Coaster, they died along with Suspended coasters. Suspended coasters aren't really too great, but a Stand up coaster would be totally different from what all the other parks are doing, which would be good publicity. They already have almost ever other riding position you can think of.

The only place to fit another land is a large Plot of trees across the river form Germany and Italy. That plot would place a coaster 3/4 of a mile away from any houses. there is a golf course behind that. i think they could get a wood coaster in there without much noise. if they are going to complain about a wood coaster they will complain about a steel as well.

A stand up would be nice but I'm sick of B&M as instaled rides for BGW.

I doubt they would get a stand up. You never know though.

thare since your doubting everyones suggestion, what do you think they would put in. you said no wooden and no stand up. what do you think then? i personally would be happy with either of those. and about the family coaster. i agree that the big bad wolf is a family friendly coaster. it was my first coaster, i rode it when i was 6.

Well I think they are good ideas, but I don't think BG would do them. I wouldn't mind seeing them! I would think that they would put in some type of smaller family ride. They will put in a coaster sooner that later, but I personally think it is going to be a couple years down the line.

I'm pretty sure that the folks in KingsMill (the neighbors) have gone on record as opposing an plans for a woodie due to noise (unless they can get an Intamin).

Stand-ups - forget about it, they just are not good coasters for the most part and many people won't ride them.

A spinning coaster with a high horseshoe always works for me.

Since they did have a mouse at one point, I could see the park putting in a unique spinning coaster somewhere. If anything, I would have to say that it would be unique or one of a kind. It will be a little while.

If they get a spinning coaster I would expect to see a Mack version that has a train. They need the capacity.

And If an Intamin Prefab is the only way to get a Wood style coaster into the park then be it. I'm just tired of seeing steel.

They won't get wood period.

Moving along... do they really need the capacity. The times that I have gone to the park it has been fairly light - granted all 3 of my visits were in the fall.

i like the spin coaster idea. it would be family friendly but i also believe it would have to be one of a kind. busch gardens is a world class theme park, they wouldn't just put a basic one in. maybe that could come with the new country. spanish themed spinning coaster. i love it.

I wouldn't mind something along the lines of a Dragon Fury...

Larry - Ah, makes sense. I can see some long lines for some of those rides in that case.

That is a really good looking coaster. Only thin with 8 cars the capacity is like 700 pph. I think BGW would need more then that. But then a custom layout with more block section could hold more cars. maybe Maurer sohne could figure out a way to do double cars or maybe a Higher capacity 6 car vehicle.

Correction according to the Release by the company the coaster should get 950. See for yourself

It seems to me that this thread would be really be better suited for the Rumors & Speculation forum...

Regarding my own thoughts on this topic...I'm agreeing with Hercules here. It is hard to say what they will get next, a family/spinning coaster could certainly be possible, but regardless, it is still very early to begin speculation...Griffon hasn't even been open for a month!

Amen mrceagle, we are talking not building. This is all what we would like to see. I know that I would like to see a new country in the form of Spain.

I find it annoying when people insist that wood just won't happen at BGE. Really, they aren't any louder than rides like the Big Bad Wolf... :O I don't see why they wouldn't be able to appease Kingsmill with simple strategic ride placement...

And Herc, try hitting the park on a day where it hits 30K--- you'll undoubtedly feel like a sardine in those quaint (and all too narrow) walkways!
