Hey everyone, I'll be at Knoebels this Sunday for the Buy One Get One Free Wirstbands. Best deal in the industry.

I'll be there with my niece and brother-in-law (and possibly my sister). Anyone else planning on hitting up Knoebels this opening weekend.

Oh, I wish I was... likely not going to make it out there until July. However, have a great time - and hooray for free wristbands!!!

this past winter i've been silently thinking my first visit to knoebel's grv would coincide with a few turns on the f-turns. as we all know now, that could be quite off in the future.

so perhaps i'll go up there soon, but sunday sounds sooner than i'd planned. i miss knoebel's though.

I will be there sooner then that, as I plan on being there on Saturday. I may be around Sunday as well, I am not sure what this weekend is going to bring at the moment.

I'll be there all day Sunday. It looks like I won't make it at all Saturday.

I probably won't make it until they open week days, since I usually work all weekend. I will try to make it up the first Friday it is open lol.

As much as we'd love to be there, the Timbers will be otherwise indisposed, but a Knoebel's trip is definitely in the cards for us at some point.

Sorry to hear that Jay.

BTW, Dick said there are discounts for campers to use the newly bought golf course next to the park.

Was anyone here unfortunate enough to get puked on by the kid ahead of me on the Phlyers on Sunday?

I was lucky and had left the park by that time. I did hear about it though, sounds like it was pretty nasty.

adriahna,

The ride was running at full speed, I was trying to figure out how to snap and was managing to get serious rotation but not much slack, and suddenly I see this light-brown frothy arc flying outward from the tub in front of me. At first I thought that the kid had somehow managed to get a soda bottle on the ride, but when we came around again and I saw the reaction of the cluster of spectators that it had landed on, I knew what it was. It had to have hit at least half a dozen people seriously, and probably a lot more to some degree. Suddenly there was a big rush to the bathrooms! After the ride ended I saw one guy with no shirt and assumed that he had taken it off because it was puked-upon, since Knoebels prefers that guests stay fully-clothed outside of the pool, but my girlfriend, who only got a couple of little spots on her arm, said he was shirtless before and got it all over himself.

Nobody on the ride got anything, due to centrifugal force and/or being at different heights. I saw the operator heading to the bathroom with a bucket, but I don't know if the kid puked in his flyer too or if the op was just going to clean up the concrete.

Ohhhhhhh man... yeah. Wow. That's a genuine, Hollywood-quality puke story. Oh, the humanity.

when i was a kid there was always the same urban coaster myth circulating about "some guy" who puked while upside down in a loop and then collided with his own puke at the bottom of the loop.

unfortunately, this story seemed to float around every single looping coaster that was running locally at the time - thus lacking a factual ring even for my naive and developing child mind. i hope it's true somewhere, somehow, even if newton's laws of physics had to bend to make it possible.

I can so totally picture this. Thanks for a tale well told, Jim S. The last good boaking I got to see was on the Chaos at Indiana Beach.

It actually could've been worse, it could've been a big kid. He looked like he was about 11 or so. It wasn't the volume, but the spread.

Around what time did this happen? I went on the Flyers three times on that Sunday, and I didn't even hear about this. That sounds crazy though (I got some AMAZING snapping action!)

Will anyone be at Knoebels on June 3rd? That'll be the day I'm going because my mom & her job are going to Knoebels & obviously, they're allowed to bring their family members. I'm so excited because I'll be riding Phoenix, Twister, & many more of their amazing rides again. Also, since ya'll know I do catering at Hersheypark, it's going to feel good to actually be catered there instead of doing the catering.
