Looking at their website it doesn't look like they have very much to offer.

Their Main Website is outdated? I did notice that it said Vision Land, but It did have the Zoomerang on the map.

Yeah, that's been a major gripe for a while now. The fan based website is working on a more easy to read map. You may find the overall site to be a little more managable to navigate as well. Check it out. The web address to the fan based web site http://www.alabamaadventureguide.com

Coasterwom, I do too lol. I remember a couple years ago I told you guys to expect big things by year 10, well, they have announced that they will spend 100 million on attractions just not on coasters. Bummer right? Well, at least they are thinking about the family. Can't go wrong there.

Godsentone, I'm in the D.C. area now, so I guess my home park these days is Six Six Six Flags America (or maybe Kings Dominion).

ok I have been to Kings Dominion before. It was pretty cool. Volcano was the bomb! Alabama Adventure could definitely use a coaster anywhere close to that caliber.

i would agree but am not sure there ready for such an investment. if they did it would likely be a standard Impulse.

I think they need to add a medium range family ride like a smiling coaster before that though. A Gurtslour Spinner is in the 4 million range half the coast of an impulse. I think it would do them just as much good.

A chute ride might be good also. they have a few hill sides they could take advantage of for a unique ride.

Those are all good choices. I was thinking the other day that they could invest in smaller, less expensive coasters to build more interest and the coaster count and then invest in the large coasters that will draw people from other countries.

I think their main focus now is the family and water fans. I'm sure if they continue to be successful, they will begin focusing on those thrill seekers like many of us here.

Almost no one from another country is going to come to Alabama just for a large coaster. You are delusional. Parks DO NOT survive or prosper because of enthusiasts. We are just a very small part of their client base who they use occasionally for publicity. You do not need thrill seekers to be succesful you need families hence the change of approach for SF.

You are missing the point. I am saying that their focus is the family, but they will build more thrills to satisfy that crowd as well.

They already have come for Rampage, b/c they have a similar coaster called Megaphobia in Wales, so two more coasters of that caliber will draw even more people who are enthusiasts far and near.

I have rode Megaphobia and if they are similar then you don't have a very good coaster. Ballpark a figure for me on how many enthusiasts you think will come to Alabama, especially from another continent.

Does that matter? I made a statement, you don't agree with it, big deal, right?

You are entitled to your opinion as am I.

Your opinion has no basis at all and by asking you to put some thought into it would be having a discussion. Judging by your cliche response it is obvious you have no idea what you are talking about and most of your info is obviously coming straight from your backside.

if they add a couple larger scale family coasters and save up for a more marketable coaster they should be OK. If it is impressive enough and unique in design is might draw people from further away. not too confident in other countries. its not like Alabama is an convenient Stop on a park trip.

I agree with that mrceagle. I'm just glad that AA has a plan in place to continue to build the park into more of a tourist destination.

^ I will agree with that statement much more than one that says enthusiasts will be coming from other continents. I could see, with development, that AA could attract people from the area, and maybe even some enthusiasts from other parts of the country, but they aren't there yet, and I definitely don't see that happening with people from other countries.

lol, why is that so hard to believe that people will come from other countries, if a park was attractive enough? Notice, the key word is IF!
