I think it's interesting how many varied experiences different people can have on wooden coasters. I imagine it's a combination of people's expectations, tolerance level, and also the coaster itself, i.e. how it's running that day, what the weather is like, etc. Myself, I found Wildcat at Hershey to be excessively rough, as well as The Boss at SFSt.L. On the other hand, I don't mind Gwazi from that standpoint, and American Eagle and Viper at SFGAm are both very re-rideable as well. Just my observations.

The Boss also ruled. It was very intense and I could not sit on it for severla rides in a row, but no problems for me on that ride.

The boss was wicked sweet as the se was to me boring and unthrilling. I also enjoyed the ozark wildcat.

^^I'm sure the Gerstlauers had something to do with it. Thank GOD CCI didn't put them on Boulder Dash, could have ruined the whole ride.

Never mind the fact that Gwazi doesn't duel. The thing is rough as holy hell. I'd wish Busch upgrade to the Millennium Flyer trains.

I just think some people should stick to steel coasters.

That's what I'm saying too. There are too many sissy riders who complain about roughness on woodies. Hello? They're not all made to be as smooth as Lightning Racer. Roughness is what brings out the sheer intensity & inner character of a wild beast which's why I love wooden coasters a lot more than steel coasters. Ya'll can never think of riding a wooden coaster & expecting the same type of experience throughout your life. Since steel coasters are technologically advanced & computerized, the ride experience's just like how you'll always remember it (unless the park doesn't take good care of it). We're all pampered with the hypers & B&M inverts & floorlesses that we don't come to appreciate what a good coaster ride should be like before the first steel coaster was built in the late 1950s.

I'm with you, on that, RC. I like a good bruisin' every now and then. Although, as far as woodies go, Gwazi just didn't do much for me. Sure it was rough enough and had some airtime, but without the dueling aspect the ride just wasn't very memorable. I rode it less than a week ago and already I can't recall much.

-Does this thing go upside down?
-It's an eighty-year-old wooden coaster. You tell me
