hmm, rich, where are you getting all this extra cash? are we on the verge of being put in the middle of a national scandal - "teacher has been skimming money from yearbook and science club coffers in order the ride roller coasters".

and here we are, suspecting it all along, and saying nothing. shame of shames.

I also coach, and go to after school meetings. My wife also does the same.

Tom - You don't even want to know how much cheaper it is to live in Indiana for some of the bigger ticket expenses i.e.: housing, car insurance.

I know you get this Tom, but others might not undersatnd your sarcasm. Rich and his wife live fairly modestly and don't waste money, except for their penchant for buying too many theme park souvenirs.

His wife does has a lucky habit of finding spare change.

Myth: coaster05 rummages through sweats of the kids he coaches stealing spare change. It is just not true.

there was actually a scandal in my high school like i said - a very well-liked german language teacher who also was the main faculty advisor for the yearbook committee had been skimming off the yearbook. over a few years he walked off with 3K! he was canned (obviously), but the whole thing was equivalent to my rural high school what the manson family incident was to the woodstock generation.

my sense of humor tends towards the cynical, as you probably noted. no offense to rich. both of my parents are school teachers and both my sister and myself are mental health case workers. we are all a frugal bunch who still manage to live life to the fullest. i can relate to rich and his lifestyle.

No problem Hrry i wasn't worried or offended at all. Teaching doesn't pay a lot, but when both of you do it, you can bring home a nice amount for barely over half a year.

Jesus, Animan. Every time I say something, you have to point out exactly what's wrong with my statement. I was kidding about the lottery thing, that was what the was for. How could you not understand that?

Please, just ease up on the unecessary criticizm. I understand this is a site for critics, but that doesn't mean that have to be quite so harsh about my statements.

Is it me, or do none of you guys want me here. If you really want me to leave, i'll terminate my profile.

I think deep down you're a pretty good member, just young, that's all. Most of us were in your position at one time on this site...

Axman for the most part I am enjoying this burst of new member traffic, even if some of your stuff gets really old. however you have to be ready to take a little bit from everyone or there really isn't a reason to listen to what you say.

I don't really have a problem with you, you just over bash six flags a little bit.

I'm glad none of you want me to leave. I need to work on creating/accepting constructive criticism.

I'm sorry that perhaps some of my critcisms have come across as a bit excessive. However, I easily tire of relentless bashing, and tend to have a short fuse for such things, especially if the person is not that experienced with what they are bashing in the first place.

Still, as with the majority of what others have said, it seems to me that you are a book member, if only one that still has to gain some maturity and experience. However, like Bob said, that is something that we have all gone through at some point, so I certainly don't think that you have to leave. Take some of our comments to heart, work on diversifying your posts a little bit, and I think you should be in good shape.

Financially, I still can't do much in the way of traveling, so my goal is to get in 20, maybe 30 new coasters this year. Here are the parks I want to go to and the last time I visited them in ().

PCW (never)
PKD (2006)
Dorney (never)
BGE (2002)
Astroland (never)

It's a fairly small list, but I want to be reasonable and still manage to make money this summer. Also going to Great Wolf Lodge VA with my family in two weeks.

I've changed a few things, and have a bit more set of a schedual now.

KD- Opening day March 31 and more days throughout the season.
Dorney, Deno's, Astroland- I'm trying to do this some weekend in May, and will be my biggest trip of the year with three brand new parks for me.
BGE- First week of June, one day trip. This is my first time at BGE since 2002, and I will be meeting two people from Coaster-net there.
Carowinds- I'm going here at some point. I wanted to go this weekend, but after BORG's mess and after some people I was going with got sick, I had to postpone it. The main reason I want to go here (and Dorney) is because I have a Maxx Pass.

That's basically it for now, other than a few spontaneous trips perhaps. If anyone has any tips for any of those parks please let me know.

I will definately be going to my three home parks CP, GL, and KI. I would also like to go to SFKK, SFNE, SFGE, and Lake Compounce. These are new parks for me and probably my only trip for the year since I've been to most of the other parks and not very many parks are putting in new coasters.

I went to Indiana Beach yesterday...TR coming sometime later today. Then I'm going to SFGAm next Wednesday, and Blackpool in about a month and a half.

For me,

Already Planned:

Six Flags over Georgia
Carowinds
Busch Gardens Africa (tampa)
Ghost Town in the Sky (Most anticipated park of the year)
Sea World

We might hit Kings Dominion, but that is only a 30% chance.
