Why is it everytime that I make fun of Joe and his need for a kiddie coaster fix that I get slammed, but Larry and Rich can get away with it. Oh, right...it's because I really do think it's ridiculous.

Actually, 50 kiddie coasters is a goal I can't say I've heard before. I'm assuming you mean 50 new kiddie coasters, right, Joe?

I don't remeber you slamming kiddie coasters I thought it was just lil shaver. And we have all met so there is a little more liklihood that you know we are just joking around.

I'm going for 5 kiddie coasters this year. I'm sure rich will be there with me riding along.

no because its one thing to KNOW someone that you go to parks with is joking about it, and another for someone you don't really know to be seriously slamming you

sure, why not.

^I am still upset at the lack of Wacky Worms in Spain. I need four more to get to 10 WW credits. 50 kiddie coasters is really raising the bar, but it is always important to reach for the stars Joe.

me too, but there are a few kiddie coasters to entertain - that Draky looks amazing.

Are you suggesting that 50 is too modest of a goal?

it's been more than just that..

50 is a good goal and appropriate. It is just nice to see you really push yourself.

Draky looks awesome is that one of our bonus credits?

Taylor I will hold you to that at KI in April.

Fair enough.

As I said, interesting goal. Not one that I would personally want to do, just because I think there are too many other good coasters to be riding, but I do know that kiddie coasters can be surprisingly enjoyable. And since you have already been on a lot of the top coasters in the U.S. (except for the Cyclone ), it does make more sense.

You are correct sir! We have bantered about Lil' Shaver and Pteranadon Flyers at least, plus Wacky Worms, if I'm not much mistaken.

Originally I was planning this outstanding trip for this year.

Tuesday: La Ronde
Wednesday: La Ronde
Thursday: The Great Escape
Friday: The Great Escape
Saturday: Seabreeze
Sunday: Six Flags Darien Lake
Monday: Six Flags Darien Lake
Tuesday: Marine World
Wednesday: Paramount Canada’s Wonderland
Thursday: Paramount Canada’s Wonderland
Friday: Martin’s Fantasy Island
Saturday: Hoffman's Playland on way home

However after recently getting a dog that hates not being with the family, this trip probably won't happen unless all of these parks allow dogs in them (which I highly doubt).

Now I'm going to do a lot of New England day trips like Canobie Lake Park (more than once), Water Country (more than once), Funtown U.S.A. (probably more than once), Palace Playland (probably more than once), Surf Coaster U.S.A., Aquaboggan, the Whale's Tail, and Six Flags New England (definitely more than once).

--------------------
Track Record
17 Wooden Coasters
47 Steel Coasters
64 Total Coasters

Financially, I still can't do much in the way of traveling, so my goal is to get in 20, maybe 30 new coasters this year. Here are the parks I want to go to and the last time I visited them in ().

PCW (never)
PKD (2006)
Dorney (never)
BGE (2002)
Astroland (never)

It's a fairly small list, but I want to be reasonable and still manage to make money this summer. Also going to Great Wolf Lodge VA with my family in two weeks.

I want to ride at least 1 coaster this year. I might still be going to Holiday World, and if so, probably Beech Bend, too.

I'm might have to go with out coasters this year.

Ouch, I am lucky I have one of the most highly rated wood coasters five minutes from my house and one of the most highly rated steel coasters an our from my house, funnily enough I never ride them, I go to LC to ride the Wild Cat, Eat Pizza, and Watch Rockin' Radio Replay and I go to SFNE to ride the Cyclone, eat tacos and ride the Top Spin. How far is the closet coaster to you?

Well it's not so much that I like it better (even though I do) the line is always so much shorter and with the way Boulder Dash was running this year you can't ride it more then 4 times a visit.

This is for people who normally go to a lot of parks throughout the season, but they can't go to as many of them this year. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about your situations. I've seen some things like you can't travel that much because of families or financial crisises that're slowing you down. Hopefully, ya'll will be able to bounce back next year & handle whatever situation you have the best way you can.

I'm greatfull for my 2005 Pennsylvania coaster odyssey, and my most recent trip to Dollywood in August, and my trip to Universal Orlando in February.

My 2009 NY/SFGAd trip will keep me in perspective untill the time comes...

For now, Beech Bend is a definite, if nothing else. My parents realize that I can't go with out coasters for too long, or I can really get depresed. I become a poster child for one of those "Zoloft" Ads you see on TV.

I have my whole life ahead of me, and so far, I'm doing pretty damn good for a 15-year-old. My coaster count is about to hit 150, so, i've already made some serious progress.

Most 16 year olds don't have enough money to take a roller coaster trip though 4 states hitting roughly 6-8 parks.

^^ Most 18 year olds, don't have enough money for that kind of trip. I would suggest that you start saving now.

^Yeah, but when you go 4+ times a week you can't do that much ridding, plus to us it's not really a big deal.

^^ I have over 500 saved and so does she.

I've got money. I've got time. When I'm completely able to drive, I'm hitting the road. I'll go somewhere, then somewhere else, and then back again, and hit all of the parks on the way.

^ I can tell you from experience, when you actually start working and having commitments to more than just school, it is much harder to plan a trip than you might think. Also, the cost (and time) can ramp up quickly, especially if you are driving. Just my word of wisdom there, for what it's worth, before you get your heart set on touring the country.

Oh, no. I find it difficult to plan any kind of trip anyways. Cross cuntry trip is after I hit the lottery.

Honestly, do you realize how many times you contradict yourself? First you say that you are going to "hit the road" when you are "completely able to drive." But then you proceed to say that you find it difficult to plan "any kind of trip anyways." Am I the only one that finds these two statements to be rather contradictory?

And as for depending on winning the lottery for money...wow, what a plan. I can't really think of any other way of "making" money that is more immature and unlikely.

BTW - Nice trips this year, Rich. I must say, I'm a bit jealous...that's a lot of parks and coasters! I suppose this might be one of the benefits of being a teacher though, eh...getting summers off?
