We all know that coaster companies like GCI has coasters such as Wildcat at Hersheypark & Gwazi at Busch Gardens Africa that don't seem to run so smoothly when they get older. Now the question's how to B&M coasters ride once they get to be nearly ten years old? The only B&M coasters I've been on with that criteria are Kumba, which opened in 1993, Raptor, which opened in 1994, Montu, which opened in 1996, & Mantis, which opened in 1996. I think that all of them still provide great rides & even though they're very intense now, they're still smooth & I think that the ride experiences are better.

Another dumb thread All coasters will detoriate with age unless they are propely maintained. And none will get better.

Maybe this is another dumb thread of mine & I'll try to stop doing this, but I only made this topic because I thought that it'd be controversial. Think about it. I've heard about B&M coasters like Six Flags Great America's Iron Wolf & Busch Gardens Europe's Alpengeist becoming a lot more rougher than they've been since their opening debuts, whereas rides like Kumba & Raptor have been around for 10+ years, but it just doesn't feel like the whole age factor has kicked in to a certain effect yet. Sheesh. All I'm trying to do's make this website more lively since it has been dead for almost a week. It's not easy to come up with all of these new threads to keep this system running, & it's not any easier to scroll through 10+ pages of this stuff so I'm sure of myself that I didn't plagarize someone else's thread.

Hey - I understand that you are trying to help generate more conversation but unfortunately at this time there don't seem to be enough active people on the site to have robust debates on every topic.

But to think about your question a little deeper. A better question might be, What B&M coasters have gotten much rougher over time? Just think if the question is actually going to make sense or if people are really going to care.

But time and age will never make a steel coaster run better!

Then again Larrygator, think about it this way. I hear many people complain about the newer B&M models, like Dorney Park's Hydra: the Revenge & Knott's Berry Farm's Silver Bullet, having very little to no forces at all, which also leads to a huge lack of intensity. Now as the rides are starting to get much older, they'll eventually become more intense & very forceful which will probably make them slightly better ride performances.

what makes you think they will get more intense and forceful?

getting rougher is not the same thing as more intense and forceful.

^ agreed with Larry. Iron Wolf sucks awful now because of it's roughness. Rough does not mean intense.

^it was the nighttime special and only $8.95 for a Galaxi, GoKarts and a House of Dirty Glass. Whoring the kiddie coasters was gravy. I also wanted to ride the Spinning Bears and their Moby Dick but it started pouring.

$8.95 was not a bad price for Riverview Sh!thole

Hey guess what newbie you don't really have much say here, especially after your speech about not caring what people who have never met you think. That street runs both ways.

I personally don't feel that a person who has been on the site barely over a month gets to really tell Bob anything.

I was telling you to chill out, I don't really care if you all swear. I'm just not going to satisfy you and argue with you sorry. My life doesn't revolve around policing web sites like you do.

Thanks and I would believe you if you didn't always have another comment for me. You say you don't police the site, yet you are telling me what to do. you tell me in one thread you don't care what people say, yet you are always stating your opinion. So are you one of thoses posters who feels they should be allowed to say whatever and everyone else should not respond whether they agree or not. Personally I also don't care about swearing, however this site has rules and a place for swearing so in your case, in another thread, that is what I was addressing. I am not going to be drug into an argument here, because chances are you will post like crazy for a couple months then dissappear off to another web site and we won't see you again. Or eventually you will realize that everyone has their own opinion about stuff and you will actually become a good member, which we could use more of.

I really have no problem at all with people expressing there views on things, I mean isn't that what this website is made up of? I also think that we started out on the wrong foot and would like to start over, I mean what do I really have against you anyway, I don't even know you.

Holy crap dude, did you just get out of 1st grade? I think I counted nine errors in a two sentence post. It's been a while since I have seen a post that bad from someone not trying to make a shitty post. And for some reason, the "do you like own a fun land and putt putt golf", is incredibly hilarious. No, that's not a compliment.

I think we need to do the opposite. Chilling out is what has made this get boring over the last year.

On the contrary...I think Rich was quite reasonable and able to bring the issue to a close in a wonderfully non-confrontational way. Arguments may be interesting, but they are also usually a big waste of time.
