What would be the quietest coaster you could find, or at least the smoothest?

The quietest is definately Hydra at Dorney. The thing literally just comes out of nowhere.

I really do think that the smoothest that I have been on is El Toro. It beats out steels too.

A plain topic.....'tis a good day. But....El Toro takes the cake for both topics. But most every other B&M that I've been on is crystal clear SMOOTH. I'm not sure if it counts but Apollo's Chariot's lift is so silent as with mf. I can't think of many coasters for this topic.

I really can't believe that a 180 foot wooden coaster is quiet or smooth. I really have to see/ride that thing to believe it.

Definitely Talon: Grip of Fear & Hydra: the Revenge at Dorney Park. Kudos for the sand filled supports that'll silence the whole ride which brings even more excitement to the table. All you can hear's riders screaming at the top of their lungs throughout their perilous journey.

El Toro is ANYTHING but quiet. It is so smooth, but it sounds like a loud steel coaster.

Hydra is pretty crazy. Silver Bullet is stealth too. Kraken is also silenced quite well. Basically.. you can pick almost any "filled" B&M, but I'll pick Hydra just because you won't hear people screaming either since its less than thrilling

Smoothest ride.. jeez, probably Toro for me too. And, again, most B&Ms are really smooth.

I'm in agreeance that most B&M's are smooth.

as for Quite
Pollor coaster at Story land Glen, NH the coaster makes like no noise. I know they use rubber wheels.

Smooth and quite - Thunder mountains Disney world. makes like no noise and is very smooth.

I know that The mall of america park took extra effort to make the coasters as silent as possible.

I agree that Dorney Park's Talon and Hydra the Revenge both are incredibly smooth because of the track being filled with sand.
