What coaster do you think has the best location? It could be extremely visible and over the midway, or cleverly hidden, like Boulder Dash and Beast. Definitely not a parking lot like a few coasters at SFMM.

I think Dollywood is a master at hiding their rides in the woods (Tennessee Tornado) and building the coaster to match the landscape and flow with the terrain (Thunderhead). I also like how you can't see anything from the road, but that's just me.

I agree that the Beast is also in a nice location.

I think 3 out of 4 BGE's coasters have really classy locations. Big Bad Wolf uses the river and forest; Loch Ness Monster does the same with a tunnel, and AC just goes out there. I don't think i've been on many terrain coasters, but there's still Nitro and Millennium Force.

I like the beast in the back of the park going into the woods.

I love Millennium Forces location, right on the lake. Fantastic views.

I'd have to say Incredible Hulk's location over the river & that mist filled tunnel's amazing.

It's a lake not a river.

'Parking Lot Coasters' are the bane of my existence. I generally rate terrain coasters and coasters with interesting locations higher. That's why I love BGE.

Great White's view of the ocean from the lift hill is stunning. And an odd view from a lift hill. S:ROS at SFNE has a lift that feels very close to the CT River.

Boulder Dash s a great coaster visually The few Glimpses of the coaster really help build excitement for the ride.

Superman: ROS at SFNE is a major part of the parks Sky line. and the way it works the terrain on the park is quite unique.

Ci Cyclone the view from the coaster and the look it brings to the Board walk are both major aspects of the area.

Boulder Dash's location is excellent along the mountain with an out and back layout that is concealed by many trees.

Busch Gardens Europe's coasters also do an excellent job utilizing terrain with the sections above ponds and lakes, and wonderful drops.

Boulder Dash...

BGW(E)'s older coasters have great locations in my opinion.

Just judging by the pictures, I actually like the location of Top Thrill Dragster in the middle of the park. I think that is the first good thing I have ever said about that ride.

I dislike coaster locations at SFMM, but Revolution and Tatsu are exceptions, as they use the mountainside. Other than that, several are near a freakin parking lot (e.g. Scream, Colossus, X) It varies over there at Magic Mountain.

Six Flags Magic Mountain is terrible. They have all those roller coasters over the parking lot with no trees hiding them or anything. At least it gets you excited seeing the coasters in the parking lot.

Gold Rusher and Ninja also make use of the terrain at the park. In reality, only Batman, Scream, Goliath and Colossus are "parking lot coasters" - less than 25% of the park's collection.

SFMM also DOES have a ton of trees in about 2/3 of the park.

Hey since toaddy is gone I guess I will be the resident SFMM fanboy... or something close to it.
