This has probably been a great coaster year for a lot of people. I didn't have as great of a coaster year as I thought I would, but it was still fun. Now it's time to reflect back to all of the amusement parks you've been to & see if you've had this somewhat fond memory that pretty much topped off your whole year. It can be about riding a new coaster, trying out some delicious food, or anything else ya'll can think of. For me, it'd have to be going back to Knoebels after not going there for the past four years & having an amazing time. Twister & Pheonix are still some of the best woodies around, but I also tried out a lot of new rides like Downdraft, 1001 Nacht, Fandango, & many more. What would you say was the best park memory you've had for this past year? BTW, I checked through the pages & I haven't seen any other thread similar to this one.

For me it was going back to Disney after 2 years. I had agreat time and forgot how good the caramel apples were in the Magic Kingdom. I also finally got to ride Rock n' Roller Coaster, which was great.

Ahhh, it was either when I first rode El Toro, or when i got my first glimpse of Cedar Point. I'll never forget these incredible moments.

England and Balder. I also loved seeing Larry at our London motel and then walking down to the Three Magpies. First ERT on Vampire. Seeing Alton and Blackpool. Going to Norway. Going to Sweeden. Adding 74 to my coaster count in 2 weeks. Voyage. By then end of October 37 different parks this year. Truly my pinnacle in coastering.

No question about it - the band organ rally at Knoebels, where we met up with darkridr, traver and his pal dnny. Beautiful day, the band organs were magnificent, the rides were doling out the goodness in droves as usual, and the company was fantastic. Cannot ask for much more.

Although... there was the Mermaid Parade, which was a blast in itself - accompanied by traver and his gal's overnight visit, our foray into the city, meeting up with cyclonic, hitting up the wonder wheel, and the subway ride home... it was just a great day in all.

I never answered, but my favorite moment was the whole free hug adventure at BGA in June.

all of the above.

although the GAdv is not "fond" in the typical sense. maybe we should ask that woman who told larry to photograph her crotch if the 4th of july tryst stacks up with the rest her other fond summer memories...

Going to Cedar Point for the first time this year! It was amazing! We rode every thrill ride except Mantis, because it broke down 3 times that day! It was kind of a bummer, but my experience was amazing!

My best memories isn't of a major park or even a coaster. but of a classic stile ride.

Back in August I wen to Story Land in Glen NH. I went with my Parents and my 3-year-old niece. Well the day itself is memorable. walking through the park and being able to see it through a child's eyes. but I Took my first ride on the parks Flying fish ride(Flying Scooters). The ultimate memories is bringing my niece on her first ever Flying scooter ride.

Like most summers/falls, this 2006 coaster season was full of memorable moments. However, for me, picking out my fondest memory for this year is actually a piece of cake. My fondest memory from 2006 would definitely be going to Kennywood (my good ol' home park) with my amazing new girlfriend both in August and this past Friday for Phantom Fright Nights. Experiencing one of my favorite parks with someone so special in my life is a memory I will truly cherish. It gives the park an entirely new and wonderful feeling! Wow, look at me getting all sappy here!

Honorable mention would have to go to the first (and only) ride I had on El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure. The whole experience, from the queue to the ride itself, was amazing!

I'd rather be coaster riding!

To answer Hercules' question, that'd be a yes & Mr. Larry here said it himself.
