Now they're taking away our planets? What's next, the Indian Ocean? The Nine Commandments? (Covetousness can't be sleeping well these days.) Donner (or maybe Comet)?

Hold fast to what you know, folks, the great mindfuck is coming to a Five Flags near you.

[Edit] Whoops. I thought I was in the FON. See? This is exactly what I'm talking about. It's already happening to me.

I personally never accepted Pluto as a planet. With Disney naming a character Pluto, they must have known something was fishy.

Or is it possible that the evil mouse is behind this change. If you start seeing a lot of Disney Pluto merchandise pushed at you that must mean they have gotten over the trademark battle with the InterPlanetary Council. The planet Pluto no longer has a leg to stand on.

this is a damn funny thread, and i hope it stays in the wrong forum, cuss words and all.

my favorite thing about this recent news item was when i read that at the "conference" in which this terribly important and relevent to all earthlings decision was made that many "scientists" were very "emotional" about the campaign to divorce pluto from it's previous standing amongst the planets. i imagine the tumultuous debates going on that fateful day left some scientists to leave their usually cold, pragmatic analyses back at the lab and to simply give over to weeping at the great loss we here in this solar system have just recently suffered.

RIP pluto. the jim crow of the galaxy just sent you to the back of the bus...

I am pissed about this. I will always consider Pluto one of our planets. Damn scientists.
